I’m half tempted too quit my job take my bike and move out west, I can’t find anyone near me who does freestyle and I just wanna learn how and prove to myself that I can hit jumps like that. I’ve done no footers but nothing crazy.

I think last time i raced i was clearing 65 feet the table top was 50 an i was clearing the end and landing on the flat....good steering damper we use them road racing what a help it is....its nice to probably ride ur bike or race with out it first so u can feel where u want it and what it changes increments...so u dont not feel ur bikes handling feel....each bike has its own frame geo

Also friends with Ian who owns i-49 MX track in Kansas... was riding in Greenville,Texas with him back in 2017 - small world I know!! It's probably the safest way for him to jump it to have you go over there and tow him over it.. Yeah! Start with the basics!! No footer, no hander, heel clicker, nac nac, can can. You can do those if there is a big enough jump at your local track

Yes a little slower is better for FMX.. start at like 10 clicks out front and rear and see how that feels 👍🏼👍🏼

That’s the hard thing. I many states there’s no ramps set up at public places. Either have to get some land yourself or talk to one of the local track owners and see if you buy the ramp that they will build you a landed for it. Few tracks in cali did that for some of the guys

Go for 4 strokes, preferably injection, carbereted tend to bog on the ramp. The enginebraking is very handy
