If you have hunted for any length of time you have had the opportunity to shoot of a bi-pod or maybe a tri-pod. Even though it is one of the most common shooting positions when shooting it is not the most steady. Unless you know a few of the tips here shown by Outdoor Solutions founder, Greg Ray.

Thnx so much for clarification. So which would be your number one choice, best all around for spot and stalk shooting sticks? Light weight but durable and reliable?

Great Tips! Hoping to someday take part in one of your Texas shooting schools. Looks like you're using the TACTACAM FAS system to record the target hits.

Bogpod Deathgrip. I’ve heard many good and some bad reviews about the bogpod. What is your take using this product. Also, what do you recommend, carbon fiber or aluminum?? Thanks for your input

We are fans of the Death Grip, if used in the right situation. For example it would not be our first choice for a elk hunt or mule deer hunt , there are lighter options available. However for predator hunting or any kind of hunting where you might be sitting for awhile, it’s an awesome choice because your firearm is always at the ready. Always great for new shooters to hunt off of as well. I believe there is only a couple of pounds different between the two models but we prefer the carbon fiber

Somewhere around this point.. where you’re using a tripod and a bipod at the same time.. you’d be better off just bringing a bench! :)

We tried. Bench was good heavy and awkward to carry. 😎

I've been curious about the positioning of my rifle on my sticks. Is it better to have the sticks resting more under the front of the rifle? Or more center to support the weight of the rifle.

Great question. Definitely move your rifle forward so it’s balanced better, the less you have to manage behind the sticks the better.

@@OutdoorSolutions thanks for the reply, That's what I was thinking. I was recently hunting in a 200 yard long field. while scanning around with the rifle on my sticks I felt nice and steady until a deer came out and my heart was racing. Like you said in the video, it's about timing the shot with the movement in the reticle. I was able to make a perfect shot but it got me thinking about how I could be more stable.

If you use only tripod or bipod, steady up by lining up you ass directly under your shoulders. Or get some quad sticks. Solid as a bench rest. You can even make your own for around $50
