Alex, I really loved your way of teaching. Before starting to watch your video, I have had a couple of experiences with other Java videos, but your way of teaching and describing is by far the best. You are amazing, I originally thought I would have to read and listen to a bunch of boring professors talk in monotone voices but you make this so fun, I want to learn the next step every time i finish the video. Nice videos! I improved in Java a lot with your help, whenever I needed a code snippet and wouldn't find a satisfying answer in the internet, I would watch your videos, nowadays I am quite good with Java, part of it came from your videos!!

I'm learning Java for the sake of my class and your videos definitely help. But I have to admit I kinda hate Java but I understand why I have to learn it. Good news is it will help me with my goal of learning C#

if anyone gets a notification on saying "resource leak 'scan' is never closed" or something along those lines, type scan.close(); at the end of the code. im new to coding and have only been practicing for a few days, so if there is a better way please let me know. im always willing to learn

Thats a very nice tutorial, great job. I want to advice young developers to learn how to put input on a program in order to make it interesting and make their programs more complex. After learning how to put an input in your program i challenge you to try the tutorial i made that is actually a money currency converter

I love these videos and I love your whole deal. Please remember this when the world has worn you down: The reason you are so good at this and so easy to follow along with is because you have fun with it. Lazy people are sad. Keep doing whatever you have to do to have fun with this. My favorite Pokemon is Butterfree

Input in Python: something = print(input(''Enter something: '')) Input in Java: import java.util.Scanner; public class z { public static void main(String[] args) { Scanner scan = new Scanner(System.in); System.out.println("Enter something: "); String something = scan.nextLine(); } } Yes there is some difference :D

Can you make a video but with boolean operates so that the program shows the user imput if it meets certain conditions e. g A username must contain 5 letters A password must have 123 in it and so on

Weird system had a wobbly my end with "scan.nextline". Got it to work in the end by copy and pasting it into a new class. It complied but the debugger showed it has an error but still worked!

- Guess missing Letters: a word with three missing letters is displayed to the player. The player guesses the missing letters one letter at a time. The player earns 20 points if they guess the three letters (the player should guess all the three missing letters to get the points). Use array of String to save a list of words of your choice and select randomly a word from the list. an you help me with this

Hi Alex, can you tell us more about that line at the top there - the one that says 'import java.util.Scanner;'? I noticed my IDE did not put it in automatically and the scanner didn't work without it. Do you have a separate video about importing Java packages? Thanks :)

How can i work using IF with strings ,this is a code example String game; System.out.println("What game do you wanna get: "); game=scan.next(); String str; System.out.println("Enter Your Platform (mac,windows,linux): "); str = scan.next(); System.out.println("Hello,you chose " + game + " on " + str); How can i put for example : IF the game inputed by the user is minecraft , return a link to download it for example(System.out.println("Your download link is : tlauncher.org");)
