It is only from the expedition. But if you run the expedition from your main save and end the expedition with the Iron Vulture as your primary ship, you can make infinite copies of it for nanites.

The base stats (hidden from view, but viewable in a save editor) for combat and maneuvering on a "stock" Iron Vulture are way higher than normal hauler stats (they are up in "fighter" ranges). A constructed hauler from Iron Vulture parts uses normal hauler values, unfortunately. So for example, if you use the save editor to rearrange the stock IV slots into the arrangement in this video and then compare to a constructed IV, the values on the constructed one will be significantly lower. If you need me to build one to show you in Discord, I can do that this weekend, but for example, in your video here, the damage value is at 100, a stock IV starts around 300.

@@dogbarian8280 it’s the slot layout that makes it superior once upgraded. There is a viewer who has made 3 diff versions already and this was the strongest so far. In this comment section. Feel free to test this yourself, default versus 4 squared sc, upgrade them both and see what is better. Save editor isn’t relevant here tbh, as I can make any ship better using editor and that misses the point in the hunt.

@@scrqqge adjacent slots provide a boost to each other. so if you had 4 scattered slots and placed your engine or weapon tech in those, you would have significantly less overall effect than these adjacent slots.
