In this video, I will demonstrate how to go about obtaining the best off-road truck in the game as early as possible. By the end, you'll be Rank 7 and in possession of the best truck in the game, the Zikz 605R. Requires a lot of driving and winching so beware!

It isn't level locked. You can go to whichever region you want to after the tutorial. No rules on where you can/cannot go or what you can drive

Just finished getting the zikz. it wasnt easy like you said and i had to try trickier parts multiple times because i failed on the rough terrain. But it was certainly a very fun challenge. Top quality guide.

Much easier way, without having to build any of the two bridge: you can reach the gateway very easily by going south from the warehouse, sticking on the solid ice, past the garage. Cross the south river by driving diagonally across the solid narrow ice shelf across the river, then up to the gas station. About three delivery and the gateway is unlocked.

@@DecPlays_ I got a construction trailer stuck in some turn going up hill,needs to be delivered in a place to the right side of the railway,it has a big fuel trailer there. No truck can pull it where it is,the wheels don't even spin,there are no trees around close to winch,i tried to tow with other truck but it's in a hill and very difficult. The huge trailer might not be stuck in rocks,it's just too heavy so i need the most powerfull heavy truck with big tires because there are rocks to go through after that. If Ziks can't do this i will give up and leave it there,i did jobs with trailers but nothing as hard as this one.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

For the heavy hauling to the west side of the map I used the Kenworth 963. It slowly crawled it's way through the mud no problem

I finally unlocked it after so long I didn't even know where to start on this map but I finally did today and I unlocked it after about 4 hours just because I kept flipping my trucks but thank you so much this guide was actually helpful! *-* Jesus christ, like I only have 4 vehicles to unlock the azov sprinter, the rock grinder and that big tractor and I only have 1 quest to unlock the azov sprinter so it'll be only 2 soon and now I can finish getting a bunch of the upgrades I need from amur like the best engine for the azov atom

Was doing this as a help for one guy 2 weeks ago, and I mean, except for forgetting, that you just need to pull that trailer to the warehouse to obtain steel ( yes, I drove to the factory to craft them, but with my zikz already 😅), we were done in under 2 hours, which is not that bad I suppose. OK, after watching more, Ive noticed that despite my fail mentioned above, I have MUCH, MUCH MORE faster solution on how to get it done quicker. You see, you were building all the bridges. Thats ok too, but if we were really speedrunning it, I know a good, stable Ice road right from the garage to the tunnel. I would even show you If I could post images here, but If you are curious, write me and I show you ... ;)

I was stubborn and did not bring the little fuel trailer because I thought. I don't need it I will make it and just recover. Upon reaching location after a near tough trip. I found out I had to do it all over again and bring the fuel trailer that time 😂

Personally never bothered with the bridges. I chose the route through the big icepatches that go basically straight to the tunnel. I definitely do reccomend getting the Twinsteer with awd, and the cat 745C tho. But nice video for people who want to do it with stock trucks.

me and my friend did it with the tatra 813 and 815 force,we didnt build any bridges or use any trailers,we just used the ice patches

i was able to get it by rushing the p16 in like 1hour from a hard mode fresh start, getting the white western star and doing logging missions until i could get offroad tires for it, then rushing to lake kovd to yoink the f750 with it, get the f750s upgrades then getting to amur and using the white western star to get the upside down sideboard trailer and fuel tanker going through some shallow water. most importantly you must get the curtainside trailer delivered to the warehouse in order to get the 10 metal beams access from the one single warehouse instead of needing to craft them across the map. bring the sideboard trailer to the warehouse using the ice paths with the white western star, use the f750s repair points like a lot since the WWS is pretty weak, skirt around the deadly concrete blocks in and out of the warehouse and you can build the bridges from leading to the warehouse to make bringing the p16 with a 8 slot super trailer pretty easy. with the remaining metal beams, build the other bridges to allow you to use the main path instead of doing any ice driving with the p16. you'll have just enough metal beams to spare to deliver to the bridges and the final heaps of work mission. bridge missions also give like 900 stars each so you'll quickly level up here. with the 8slot and the sideboard trailer with the white western star and p16 you can deliver everything in one go, then use the f750 to go grab the service trailer and restock on repair points in the same area to let you be able to restore the ziks. bring the service trailer over and then you can finally enter cosmodrome. once there give the f750 chain tires and you can take the path leading up to the ice pond. the ice pond is deadly but there is a center winding path you can take where you dont fall through, just look for deepest blue ice. then just drive the main path to the ziks across the bridge. restore it with all the spare fuel your f750 has and maybe 20 from your main tank and there you go. optionally you can get the cat 745c and awd twinsteer upgrade while youre in kola to help out but i believe with careful planning these wont be necessary. all in all probably 4 hours of prep by doing logging mission level ups for white western star offroad tires. you could probably solo it with the p16 if youre patient enough and have a fuel carrier like small tuz packed on it or something but that sounds like more trouble that its worth. i made sure to have the cat745c with its fuel addon, the awd twinsteer on standby, and lastly i did do the kola imandra v10 upgrade for the f750 to make it vroom vroom. with a 5.0v6 it might do fine since its in the same region you get the diff lock for the white western star and twinsteer so maybe imandra can be skipped but i did it just for more speed n power.

A guide for obtaining the Zikz 605R starting immediately after completing the tutorial. Straight into Amur at Rank 2 and buy the time you have the Zikz 605R, Rank 7. Fair amount of driving required and no mods used at all. Just sold some trucks to fund buying some more appropriate ones. Hope you all find this helpful for your New Game Plus playthroughs and Hard Mode games. Enjoy!

if you want to do it quicker there is a path across the ice when you turn left after the garage, it takes you straight to the gateway so you don't have to build the bridges in Urska

You need to do the tanker mission first in Urska River. You can just about navigate the edge of the ice where it meets the water. You would need to grab some trucks from around the Snowrunner world first too as you wouldn't have any DLC trucks to sell for easy money

I got the zikz years ago using both the KRS Bandit, and the Western Star twinsteer. Definitely a fitting challenge for the best truck in the game.

Well done guide. Except I don't think "as early as possible" approach does any good to this game. I started Michigan and at times it felt overwhelming, but it was just the right amount hard. Those first maps are designed the way to give you everything as you need it. The limited tires situation is a bit stupid, but somehow the game works really well in the end. Offroad driving is not about hurry. Like I really enjoyed Smithville Dam map well designed narrow roads with first scouts. Each a new adventure with tripping stones and tricky places where you learn what to look for and to plan your driving ahead.

I think the appropriate solution is to take the stock ck1500 straight to amur as soon as you start. Make sure not to sell the fleetstar or do any missions either so that you cant afford trailers or anything else to help.

For me getting the best truck early is a way to ruin the game and make it boring in a long run. One will never try another trucks in the future, because there's no point.

That's fair and your opinion but everyone is free to do what they want. This just shows that if you do want the truck straight away you can but it's not a simple task. Some may want it to breeze the missions, others may just want it for the ultimate recovery vehicle. People doing this early on, as well, I imagine have a fair bit of experience with Snowrunner's many vehicles. This isn't really something a new player is likely capable of carrying out straight away.

I did this on my Game, but with the Bandit, and a semi-trailer. Dragging the curtainside trailer out to unlock the warehouse. Then, chained tired bridge building. Yes, it's a longer distance, but time wise about the same. This is why we love Snowrunner, you play as you like.

I would agree with you a 100%. But as an vet OTR driver with over 2 million mile's logged. The 605 doesn't allow because it's too short to have a low fifth wheel and mini crane. I've just finished Michigan at 100% using the new Mastadon which is an updated longer version of the 605. But it being considerably wider. Took a considerably more amount of time than using the Azov 73210. Which is the same length, has more add on's available and a bit thinner. I can only assume the majority of truck's available are for the none game modded map's. Not actual game map's. If and when one attempt's to play realistically.

You bring the trailer that I show to the warehouse. It's a task to unlock another cargo storage which has metal beams in it so no need to go back and forth with metal rolls

There's a quicker way to Cosmodrome using the Voron without having to build the 2 bridges.

The F750 is a much better truck for repairing and refueling the zikz. It can carry enough fuel and repair parts to do the job in 1 trip and can get to it easier than a larger truck like the 64131.

Performance wise, much more powerful and better tyres. Slightly fewer add-ons such as the Zikz doesn't have access to a low saddle but that's a small price to pay

The BEST TRUCK IN GAME is a bit debatable, based on what exactly how one play's, thus what does one desire a particular truck to do. Even if one were to get it day on, in the first Michigan Map. With out the sufficient upgrades, which make it the BEST TRUCK, one's personal choice of BEST TRUCK is pretty much a moot point.

@@OllieSoutham New Frontiers is the name of Season 4 from the Year 1 Pass. You have to find the vehicle in the Cosmodrome map in Amur before you can use it. It isn't just automatically given to you

Voron D. The big 8x8 is the Azov 64131. I use the Voron D because it can use a crane, flatbed and trailer combination

@@dragosmicu8567 At level 2 the Tayga wouldn't be of much use as the Azov6 and Voron have better tyres available. You could use the new Derry but you would just be adding to the total time taken. Nothing wrong with the trucks I use in the video

Sure do, Season 4 but this isn't that straightforward for a new person. Get to know the game and some of the base games trucks first as Amur is one of the most demanding regions in Snowrunner

Highly recommend not to just go for this truck. There is no point in making the game easier. The fun factor is simply lost. I recommend working on unlocking offroad mud snow tyres than working on specific vehicle. Better start New Game+ career.

This is meant for once you've started a new game anyway. Can use whatever trucks you want to and I know a lot of people keep this truck aside simply for rescuing their trucks

Hard disagree there. It has tough areas but you get used to how the map plays. Not a region that is finished quickly

if you want this easy and don't have a problem with mods than subscribe to the keenworth c-500 mod,that truck is really good,and if you wanr it super easy then equip the EXTREME engine for it

You can cut across the ice below garage in the map....its a bit tricky....but if you manage you don't have to build bridges and stuff

@@DecPlays_ in terms of speed the ice would have been faster, but it can be a hard path to nail if you’re a new player

@@kade115 very awkward with a trailer and you've a lot of cargo to move to get the tunnel open so not worth the risk

@@DecPlays_ It is not that difficult. An easy way is to bring cargo to the edge with one truck and pull it out with the crane of the other truck that is already across the gap. I sunk some scouts to get to the other side (cargo would probably work too). It requires several trips but the distance is much shorter.

Didn't realize warehouse has limited stock and messed with steel before finishing the bridges. Had to reach out to steel factory that was another two hour job...

Yeah by opening the second warehouse you never need to use the factory
