Been hunting football shirts in my country for a few months now (South Africa - mainly Cape Town). Football shirt collecting here is pretty niche, so finding other people that also do it is really hard and then finding their sources even harder (I've only met 4 people that do it actively in Cape Town). One thing I have found is that the amount of guys selling fake-stuff far outweigh the guys selling legit stuff here. Wish it was as popular in SA as it is in the UK, hopefully it will catch on soon. The only tip i could ever give is just to wait, whether it is new or old shirts. Waiting either for end of season sales or older shirts to be listed at lower prices does happen. So just don't rush things.

Nearly spat my drink out when you said Nike are the best company making shirts. I don’t think I’ve seen a single Nike shirt for this season that I’d be tempted to get. Hummel and Adidas leading the way for me, although with Hummel, some of the advise in this video doesn’t apply, as with my team (Fleetwood) the shirts sell out quickly because they only give us a small batch to begin with, and don’t start mass producing until the season is underway. But the quality of our away kit this season will more than make up for that 👌🏼🔥

I know L or XLs don't tend to drop massively in a season unless they're mass produced. Never seem to get any below 50. Valencia shirts were the exception but got them for 40. If you wait til the season after and CFS get them in your laughing but bit of a tightrope game whether you lose out. South Korea's home one from this past year has never dropped below 55, so there are exceptions annoyingly. Hoping Mexico's pink one is due a tumble 🤞

The best thing to do is to wait until March/April when they all get marked down 50%+. I feel sorry for any parents that feel forced to buy their kids the new shirts/kits every year as they are all just so expensive now. I remember being able to go to my local JJB/sport soccer and buy the new Everton home shirt in adult size £30 and maybe an extra 5 for a name & number try doing that now it’s more than doubled.

The only thing I would want to warn people about when you’re buying shirts or other item from the US or Canada are some of the possible import fees you could end up paying. I don’t know the exact rules and information surrounding these fees, certainly not for the UK (it could be irrelevant), but I’ve bought plenty of NFL and MLB jersey and memorabilia and ended up paying upwards of €40 in extra fees after it was delivered. So be careful.
