How to Get the Golden Quintar - Crystal Project

EDIT: shoutout to Open Your Mind for letting me know that there's a hidden cave in the reserve that has a Red Woke Quintar. if you go a bit east from the entrance you'll find an egg wandering about. try going into the southeast section of it and you should be able to follow the path down to it. with that you can skip getting and mating the Brutish Red. I realized while editing that it's the Golden Quintar and not Gold, oops. Also, if they aren't Happy after a race and cheese just do another race and cheese until it works.

I find these kind of breeding things so confusing, so I just stick to what you showed in the video, even if it takes longer. Tried to see in the video how a Red Woke would make things easier and didn't find that part.

I didnt think I would have mental fortitude to try and get this golden quintar for myself but I did do it.. the only hurdle is the 4th race imo, and you do have to complete it atleast once in order to get the goldie.

Fyi there was a lm update that added assist settings which makes certain aspects of the game easier and now there is a setting to skip mini games and get automatic win

Just wanted to say you've been doing fantastic on these videos. There's not a lot of content out for this game (which is a shame because it's phenomenal) but your channel has popped up a few times when I've tried to find stuff and you do a good job explaining everything!

The third track has a very easy shortcut that can be done with any quintar, right after the two narrow beams over the tar pits the wall preventing you from getting to the center of the chalice will open up and you can do a U-turn right there and there's some platforming right at tar-level, but it's such a good shortcut you really don't have to be very fast at it. From there you can just hop up to the last leg of the race and the finish line.

I had a fairly easy time beating the 3rd map with any type of Quintar: After crossing the two narrow bridges, you can cut around the corner on your left (8:44 in the video), drop down, do some platforming and get up again. Usually got to the finish without even seeing any of the other participants. For the first time trying out this route you might want to get a feel for where you have to go, though.

finish another race with it and you should be able to feed it again. repeat until you can get it happy

you can also catch the woke red out in the wild, south east of Dione shrine, on the base ground level there's a woke egg infront of a southern hidden entrance leading to a cave.

fighting the egg itself doesn't let you send it back to the nursery unfortunately. that egg was the first thing I tried capturing after I was able to speak dino

finally found the race place, didnt realize there was stairs that GO UP in the same place I was at....I found it the hard way by wasting a Dione shard and I lost the race twice....if I continue to lose I dont even see the point in this....from what I see its impossible to get first place

theres a shortcut near the start of the chalice of tar that makes it easy but requires a lot of platforming. even without a desert you can win.

Another person actually let me know you can capture a red woke in the wild. east from the entrance of the main area you can find a woke egg wandering around. if you try to go into the south east part of that area it leads into a hidden cave where you can find one at the end

after getting the goat, there's a snow area in the top left part of Greenshire (left of the castle). if you progress through enough you should meet Astley and crew again. Following them down that path will eventually take you where the owl is.
