Thank you! I used to blame my old printer for this, and it turned out to be all about the stl, and the fast new printer would just lick the corners and get really round ones
@BikeFromTheBrink6 ай бұрын
what is your fast printer?
@kirillka956 ай бұрын
@@BikeFromTheBrink slow one is "Ender 3 s1 pro" with 60 perimeter speed, and fast one is "Ender 3 v3 ke" with 200-300 perimeter speed. Round parts really look round even in “square” stl

Top tier tip, thank you. would be nice to have the 3d printing exporter export to STEP

Glad to help, I have some more fusion ideas to post. Remember to give me a subscribe to catch them as they come out.

Have you tried exporting as Step file? Supposedly that should preserve the actual shape, instead of approximating it with a mesh.

You can't load step files into 3d slicing software

@@BikeFromTheBrink Ah, you can with Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer. Not sure about the rest!

do you use server export? i early got tired of how long it was taking, and started saving mesh, giving me a offline "export" with settings
@Kolgezen10 ай бұрын
what about the file size differences, and printing speed consistency?
@BikeFromTheBrink10 ай бұрын
The file size does go up with the detail, but does that matter these days? We are spoilt for cheap storage. Speed make almost no difference.
@rickywong55512 жыл бұрын
Issue with this method is on a normal model the polygon count makes it virtually unusable in a slicer from my experience.

I had no issues when doing on my manifolds, but they are not particularly detailed, I'll see if I hit a limit and take note, it may be down to the processing power of an individual PC.

@@BikeFromTheBrink to import and use that file, fusion would crash with any real model because there so many triangles/faces.
@BikeFromTheBrink2 жыл бұрын
I've not had that issue with my manifolds, just printed one today with it cracked to max. I guess it is model dependent, maybe PC spec has something to do with it too.
@95GTSpeedDemon2 жыл бұрын
@@BikeFromTheBrink CPU is what fusion uses and it makes a big difference. I had complex multi part objects that caused fusion to crash when trying to modify it. Its super annoying. It would also stop responding for 5-10min before crashing.

Better off using the Utility Tab and the Make Menu. Set Refine to Custom and adjust the Refine sliders. Set Surface as low as it goes, Normal Deviation to Max, Max edge length to max and Aspect ratio to Max and it will remember the settings. Well most of the time, either way it will still be better than the export settings on high
