Alex Nennig honestly u just gotta play any cheap guitar with a p90. keep in mind when johnny bought those juinors they were like $80. A good option is a 70s global lp junior copy its a cherry red single cut with a p90. i got mine for $90. you dont need an expensive guitar or gear its all on the player.

I have one of those amps, really enjoy it,I also found a HT 30,Danelectro also a lot of fun. My son played a Parker Fly import thru a Line 6 fifty watt,dimed every thing and sounded like Johnny Thunders, Thanks for posting, Stay safe God bless Rock on 🙏🎶🎵😷

I'm glad you said JT used gauge 9. I reckon Waldo used gauge 8 CV os he really bends them strings especially on London (demo). A thicker pick means you break strings easier. Even John McGeoch of PIL said that. This guitar looked good on Thunders but he looks like he's only 10 years old playing s Gibson SG cos he was so short. I love Thunders tho.nim gonna play him all night on KZbin. The legend lived on.

That amp would only sound "like heavy metal" if you put some kind of pedal in front of it and even then it wouldn't sound like heavy metal at all. I've seen this guy's videos before he always tries way too hard to be like Johnny Thunders. it's really quite annoying. All you have to do is turn every knob on your amp up to 10 and play with a p90 but of course it should be a tube amp or something like it

58 59 les pauls are to far out of reach for young people starting bands , when johnny started those guitars were only twenty years old kicking around thrift shops . They are a collectors antique now ..
