boss man, a bov and a diverter valve do the same thing. Whenever you let off the gas the throttle plates close and the compressed air needs to go somewhere. You can either vent it to atmosphere or divert it back into the intake. Keep up the good work !

hey thanks for the good info..i just bought a 2013 535xi with m package. it came with an intake by burger and seems like they cut off the cat and ran pipe like yours in this video. so when I start it and its cold it will stall or the idle will surge up and down. then when i put it in gear it stalls sometimes. once its warm it starts acting normal again. also i got the message drive train malfunction but im not sure if its connected to the stalling. i bought a maf sensor and also the one on the charge pipe that looks like a maf sensor to replace. also a low pressure fuel sensor and high pressure and i was thinking of doign the oxygen and wheel speed sensors. or maybe at least clean the wheel soeed sensors because i have the abs light also. what does the stalling sound like to you?

The stalling sounds like you need spark plugs. Almost sounds like they are OEM. Sensors shouldn’t be stalling you. But the sensors could trigger the drivetrain malfunction

the intake upgrades on these cars are absolutely pointless definitely do tune before downpipe and he intercooler is MANDO when going stage two

I'm looking to do some upgrades on my 535i and would like to have you take a look at my car and let me know if it's even worth the money I'm thinking on putting into it. Quick question if someone were looking at used 535i’s of this gen (80,000 miles or Under) how much would you recommend they put aside for repairs right off the gate

That’s a great question. I would say maybe about 2 to 3k

Honestly there’s a lot of factors that can really take place with this question. One is how well the car was taken care of and what the owner already replaced on the car before buying it. The second one is if you do have problems with the car it will depend on the shop if they can get you OEM parts for cheap or if they are just trying to rip you off to make money off you.
