7:36 you deleted that extension block but when I do it my GPU reads my HDMI as DVI and it wont list my detailed resolution in list all modes. The thing is you are on display port so I don't think people with HDMI are supposed to delete the cta-861 extension block

Some monitors don’t allow cru method. My Zowie monitor works with cru, but my dell acer monitor somehow gets the black screen after restart.

go back into the CRU zip file run reset all then restart your pc. You will then have to manually go into your display settings and change everything back to how it was

if you didnt fix it by now, and you had the same problem as me which is you literally couldnt see anything and your whole screen was just black, connect your pc or such to your tv via hdmi or whatever, (i have a laptop and connected it to my tv) and then go to the cru file and press restart-all.exe and it will go back to normal. i was scared asf when it happened and thought i broke my monitor
