I know I’m late, but I’m having an issue with this mission. I tried to start it a few different times and each time I warp to the system the icon is in and follow the icon to the location. There’s nothing there. The weirdest part is it’s taken me to 2 entirely different planets and 1 twice. The location claims it’s under me and to get out and search but it’s either in the middle of the water (clearly nothing there, especially not a ship) or just an empty piece of land and the scanner doesn’t pick anything up. What am I doing wrong??

I don’t know if you figured this out yet, but I was having the same issue. Once you get to the planet with the marker, get out your ship and start using your exo suit scanner. It will direct you to the beacon to continue the mission

Got this earlier this week without realizing it. I looked up a video for all the helmets and this popped up so I thought I might share my experience I was on my way to the main objective and came across a mysterious transmission and found an empty ship. “The voice of freedom” ended up galaxy hopping to get to the outlaw station and when I did get there I hunted down a bounty. Best experience ever in No Man’s Sky. I equipped it today!

So I got this game when u posted this video and I just wanna comment this for your thoughts on the matter but I feel like the No mans sky community doesn't like newbies that much, as soon as I make a post on xbox people join and when I tell them I'm new they leave Idk if I'm unlucky or if the community is just like that I have no friends either that plays the game and I'm 100% sure it will get boring without friends to play with so yeah

not at all. try just pulsing in a normal system to see if the quest starts up.

@@WhiskyBarrelGaming I pulsed in 2 different regular systems for about 5-7 minutes in each, and didn’t get the prompt in your video. Bad luck I guess.

Pulsed in another 2 regular systems for over 45 minutes and no luck, never got Emergency Signal prompt. I’m on PS5, maybe only PC players can get this?

@@randomman4938 there’s a few things that have worked for some people: - make sure to do this on a non-expedition save - only pulse out like 20 seconds and then stop and turn around and pulse back towards the planets - have a freighter and at least one fighter in your squadron

Well I finally figured out the issue. You have to be the race of ANAMOLY in order to view the shroud. I already had this unlocked, but since my character is a Traveler, it doesn’t show.
