2:02 He never mentions this, but if it's not too cold or otherwise inconvenient the best shoes are no shoes at all. The correct posture throughout the body starts at the contact point between you and the ground. To get the best foundation while still being relaxed is obtained by bare feet and letting all your ligaments and bones hug the surface. Grip with your toes, then relax.

A good posture is very hard for me because I have a condition called EDS which means that my joints are very... not secure. I think some people would say I am "double-jointed" This means that my joints hyper-extend ALL the time. I can't stop it... well... I can, but to do so consistently puts immense strain on the surrounding muscles. EDS means I have... not good collagen. This is found all over your body. It mainly affects your ligaments. It means my ligaments and skin are super stretchy! I am prone to dislocation and subluxations. It can really suck. That means if I am having a good day my form can be very good and consistent, but on a bad day my form is not good and my shooting obviously suffers. I wish I knew of thing to help. I do not know any archers with EDS though so I cannot. I really want to get more consistent and improve my shooting but I do not know how to if the quality of my shooting is largely dependent on my chronic illness

Weight training is a good way to stiffen the joints and muscles, especially when exercises are performed with a limited range of motion

skyber danvers97 That's a good sign of proper back tension. Also called the follow through. It's not an issue.
