Grew up going here. Havnt been in years. Mostly due to my car getting broken into when I was down there. But after watching this I have an itch to go back. It’s actually called monkey canyon because when the sun is right there is a perfect monkey face on the cliff above the lower pool from where the ladder is. And the ladder is for climbing up, you gotta jump!!! Haha. Awesome job picking up trash too.

@@lopezexplora that ladder moves as you are going down and back up very sketchy! Better you didn’t risk it especially if you were alone! 🙏
@Wrath69093 ай бұрын
I remember when I went there about 15 years ago the ladder was secure and I was able to do the 50 foot jump many times and it was safe. Also there’s a 80 foot jump across too and that was is scary when jumping from it.

I'm the early 70's we used to call it hippy canyon... My dad used to own part of the resort with the bar and fish pond in the 70's right past the tunnel on the right it was washed out in 78 and ten people got killed. He also owned the falcon mines another 5 miles up the road. I grew up there in those mountains, running those trails...

Hey man I actually just did this trail 2 weeks ago and it was amazing but when I was going on my way to the ladder I slipped and almost fell off the 50 ft cliff next to the ladder its very sketch also those are not mosquitos in the video those are mosquito eaters they are harmless and actually eat mosquitos I went with my family to to this hike and everyone made it back safe thankfully also if you look straight directly from the water slide there are 2 cars that fell off the cliff

To park anywhere in Angeles National Forest, Cleveland National Forest, Los Padres National Forest and the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument you’ll need a National Forest Adventure Pass Permit $ 5 per day or $ 30 per year that you can buy at more sports stores as well as gas stations and most 7 eleven stores near the Mountains
