FYI Tony; Greece is a no-kill state of strays. They are collected, sterilized, chipped, collared and released. So hopefully their numbers have decreased. Also I know that in Kefalonia they have placed feeding stations for strays. Also the guards at the tomb of the unkown soldier that you filmed are called Evzones. Their dress is very symbolic, especially when they wear white. The skirts have exactly 400 pleats in them representing the 400 years under Ottoman slavery. The red berets represent the blood spilled for freedom, the black tassels for the tears shed. And when they stomp in their march, it is to remind those in the ground that died for freedom, that they are not forgotten.

There is a lot to do in Athens, you have been there so many times and I’m amazed you haven’t connected with anyone in Greece. They would surely show you the best places to eat and visit. Anyone who says to avoid Athens doesn't know Greece. Hopefully the thought here is that you don’t think that Greece is only beautiful because of the land that hasn’t been contaminated like other counties but it’s the people that have maintained it and beautified it- the people made it possible for you to like the islands.!!!

No, it’s just I don’t prefer ANY city if something is lost in editing, it’s just 24 hours of travel to walk around a busy place. I “forget” that I’m still in commute
