The ammunition forge will operate with any temperature fire just so long as it lasts long enough. This is as opposed to the crafting forges at the Riken, Old Spence, and Broken Railroad Maintenance shed, which required 150 C temperature, minimum.

There is a faster way to get there! After you find the code, turn around and find a lookout. From there you can climb down a rope and get to the cannery quicker

THAT is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS Having to do all that. First: You have to get the code which even from Coastal Highway or Mystery Lake is like going from the light side of the moon to the dark side of the moon. Second: There is ALL types of wildlife trying to kill you evey step of the way, the weather is killing you, OR it takes days to get there because you got hurt and or exposed to too much weather, and NOW you have to depend on the food you took with you and now don't have enough to eat while you make bullets. Third: You have to have enough food and supplies. Coal, wood, water or pop, bullets, bullet casings, gunpowder. SO, unless you have a Moose leather backpack you can pretty much bet your LIFE that you aren't going to be able to carry enough supplies to TRULY make the trip worth your time. I can TOTALLY understand the need of making a game HARD...BUT making a game this hard is actually harder than REAL life, and this comes from someone that HAS survived by living off the land. I'm surprised the game makers didn't make you walk 50 miles just to get a sip of water. Basically, the game is NOT even REMOTELY balanced. If you had to REALLY survive as the game expects you to in real life, taking in consideration ALL the game has you go through and throws at you...the odds of you serving more than a week would be about 10-15% at best. The REAL name of the game should be "200 Ways To Die while you try serving!"

I like this game, BUT there is too many things that in real life DON'T wear out as fast as they do in this game. Like whetstones, knives, and guns. I have whetstones that are over 3 years old. And, falling snow and even MOST snow on the ground does NOT have to be boiled to be safe to drink...period! The gun in this game is a British 303 Enfield...which is a 30. Caliber rifle would kill ANY animal in South and North America with NO problem whatsoever.

Well actually its quite useless doing this to get bullets. You find enough looting. Though it is quite an adventure, a good reason would mainly be the milling machine to repair a broken gun fast and fully.

Im sorry but this video is not helpful to me at all!! i knew everything except where to get the code, and for that step you say to go straight til you reach 'the' building (what one?!) ..but you didnt go straight and its too dark to tell what you are doing. major fail.

Sorry if I wasn't specific enough, the code is in the building closest to the radio tower and the code is on a note you find inside that building, I hope this helps.

Thank God I set up my main home and base inside of coastal highway this means I'm close to the ammo workbench and don't have to travel hundreds of miles bleak I let is only half way my normal loot run distance from coastal highway and my base
