I don't think that's supposed to happen, but if you have discord you can check the bug reports or report it if no one did before, never happened to me so i can't really help

It's very rng but if you have another friend you can frog jump to the next part. If not train on a random game and get the timing

There is a skip that might be annoying, and you also need another player to use player collisions and jump on them to go faster

Sometimes it's not the internet, it's just a server reset when it's been a long time since it was created, mostly happens in public servers.
