Also, fitting the large grommet properly helps keep the water out, you saw how easy the light fitting was to pull forward. It should be harder than that, the grommet, the the large round one by the light fitting right side, should be fitted to the light assembly also ...

I need to replace my foam gasket on the back of the light. It’s totally flattened, but when it’s swapped out there’s no more water in the light 🤦‍♂️

Nice one! I've been gearing myself up to doing this for several weeks now. Just waiting for a dry spell. What type of drill bit did you use? Also, my front lighter plug is really temperamental. I use it for a bluetooth FM transmitter/USB thing for dashcams, but one slight touch and it loses power. Do you recon replacing the socket will fix it or is it just how these sockets are? Cheers. The smaller the drill bit the better I used a 3ml. Try cleaning your lighter plug out first if that doesn't fix it then you might need to replace it.
