that's bc your not doing it right u have to brush ur hair while the shampoo and conditioner in it to your desire, put on doo rag, rinse out while doorag is on so u dont loose definition let dry for 3 hrs while doorag on then apply wave grease/brush then put back in doorag for 20 minutes/job complete/ u welcom/

My son has similar if not the same grain of hair and all he needs to wave up is 3/4 inches of length, some moisturizer, castor oil and a good brush for 10mins and he gets results like he worked on them for 2 weeks….
