We picke up a cavapoo/goldendoodle. The breeder gave us a small bag of dimond puppy food, but he wont eat it. We did give him treats and little bit of eggs. He will eat that and human food. but I wondered if we gave him too many treats, because of trying to train him? And human food to get him to eat something?

I tried the egg. Worked perfectly. Did not have to hand feed her this morning 😊

It's funny that Elsa wouldn't eat easily either as a puppy, our Lapponian is the same. We have to find all sorts of ways to try and get him to eat LOL. Good to know its kind of just a thing with them.

Dr Lindsay, I have a 9 yr old Shih Tzu with stage 3 kidney disease. He is such a fussy eater that he won’t eat the prescription food I am supposed to give him. WHAT DO I DO? He has high protein levels and phosphorus levels and he can only have 7% protein food per day. How can I get him to eat???? Please help

Gentle force feeding (short term)? Patience is crucial, very frustrating. Chicken bone broth (costco) low salt + a little protein, maybe that's bad, tiny amount added? Add 100% pumkin topper, can green beans

Rookie tips, you don't know what picky is. My dog has congestive heart, the vet put her on half a Pepcid 2x / day. Don't give a dog egg whites only, must have a yolk, they should only eat about one egg per day. Associate feeding & especially pills with walks Dogs can't have too much protein, especially older, if you can only get them to eat meat, ground chicken or ground turkey mix in mashed potato flakes, so it's not all protein, better than nothing. Lightly cooked broccoli or carrots have been long time winners. Green beans have worked for a little while, especially canned. 100% Pumpkin in small amounts. Entice is only for dogs with no appetite, not super picky, doesn't seem to help for that and it's expensive.
