Thanks so much for sharing Greg. The part that struck me the most was tip number 5: Self promotion truly is key.

Thank you so much for this content Greg. So helpful. I'm a professional photographer form Italy and I worked and I'm still working with Renault, Alpine and Dacia. Shooting of the cars, shooting on tracks and corporate events but I wish to find a space in motorsport. So thank you for your tips. I'll check your e-mail pack ;) And most of all great job with your video (KZbin and for client), love them

Absolutely loved this. The tip about making stuff for yourself (or even make stuff for your friends for free) is ESSENTIAL. Use your personal projects for growth. Try new things that you wouldn't normally try on a "professional" level. That one trick, that one overlay, that one transition that you master and learn to use perfectly could be the difference of landing a big client over another photographer/videographer. Making things for yourself gets you out of your comfort zone and allows you to learn with no limitations

Appreciate the kind words and totally agree. When I started making content for myself with no strings attached, I started leveling up. Slowly but surely!

I prefer the sit in the right spot so Greg sends prospective clients over to me since he does video only. This is working at a 100% success rate.

Had the pleasure of meeting Greg at Petit LeMans this year- my first real credentialed IMSA race. He took the time to answer my questions and offer some sage advice in the middle of his workday, which was insanely kind and helpful. I can’t express enough how much I appreciated that and how refreshing that was in a space where some people come off cagey or give you a sideways look for being the new face in a media vest. Gregest Of All Time right here 🐐

Thank you so much Greg! Your lessons and lessons from other people are valuable in my future career aspirations. I’m going to be downscaling karting next year. And doing so, opening up possibilities for video work. So your tools and lessons will be beneficial for my potential journey in racing videography and storytelling.

Great video, already helped me alot in setting up for the 2025 season! I’d love it if you could do a deeper dive into the financials of it. Like how you charge a client and what expenses you specifically pay for or the teams pay for (flights, hotels, cost to get you out there, etc if any) That would be a great help even if you don’t give specific numbers on what you charge. Thank you again!

Great video but that email template is very dissapointing for US$10. It's not even a template, I have to copy the text insert it into a word doc reformat it and then modify most of it!

Brother, this line of work is a lot of long hours and hard work. If changing the font on copied text and inserting your name on an email is hanging you up, I’m not sure this line of work is for you.
@matwin20342 ай бұрын
@@gregsvideogarage the line of work is fine. I just have no idea what I just paid for! Anyone could write this email in mins...
