What I appreciate so much about your videos is your acknowledgement that there is not just one way to do things, and that failure is normal. I have OCD and ADHD and I struggle a lot with fatigue and time management, so I often find that advice from neurotypical coaches etc. can be counter-productive or just end up making me feel discouraged. I love that you provide so many useful tips and strategies while reinforcing that life is unpredictable and that different people respond to different things. :)

I'm totally with you on that! I have a Sensory Processing Disorder, and fml if it isn't a real bugger on the brain! Fatigue and time management, yeah, completely relative! The majority of people who don't have issues like these, typically don't get it, and oftentimes it causes more anxiety, which only feeds the cycle. The struggle is real, but stay strong sister. You got this!

This is frequently where I fuck up! I get all motivated and PMA and set ABSURD tasks for myself, like 5am Club stuff which inevitably fails and my systems and habits go to shit after a week or so. I'm amazed by how timely your videos always are with my current life. But I think it goes to show how we're all more similar than we think; despite living in different countries, with different lifestyles...we all have stories we can relate with, stories we can empathize with, and I think it's through these stories that we feel less alone and more hopeful that we can overcome them. So thank you Struthless for making me feel less alone, for making me feel empowered, and for giving me so much practical tips and wisdom through your videos (I've been super grateful how frequent they are too!) We're all just strangers on the internet (and you often refer to yourself as "that bald guy on the internet"), but at this point, we're all more than that. I did this exercise on Sept. 30th (2022) and today it's Nov. 3rd, so, almost five weeks in. The relief and sense of direction has been enormous. I feel satisfaction knowing I'm working toward the things I've decided are most important. I have patience for the life projects and goals that I've decided *aren't* on my 'most important' list for this stretch of time--I'm no longer worrying I'm 'not doing enough' for them because they're simply waiting their turn. Thanks to the habits I set up with this system, I actually finished a new piece of music for the first time in years, and I adapted these steps to reflect on that project and figure out what the next one will be. Basically, this was one of the most effective and clarifying tools I've ever tried. Thank you.

I remember when I watched this video a year ago when it first came out. And now, as I am currently in a rut, I’m rewatching this video and doing the exercise. I’ve been in a rut because I’ve felt like I haven’t been very productive, but when I take a step back, I realize I’ve accomplished so much A list of a few things I’ve done since the first time watching: - (Sorta) got over my fear of driving and got my license - Got accepted to college after two gap years thinking I couldn’t go back (and got scholarships and grants, so I won’t have to pay anything!) - Started selling journals on Amazon - Opened an Etsy shop for digital prints - Got my first freelance writing gigs - Started going out way more with friends and even went on a little road trip out of state, etc. I’m glad I stumbled across this video again. You are a wise guy indeed! Thank you 🙏🏾

I watched this a week ago and said I’d come back to it. I just spent 3 hours watching you talk about each step and then really going deep and doing it. I wrote so much, learned so much. I think the bit where you evaluate the reasons why some goals were achieved and some were not is so interesting. And the parts about the kind of person I want to be and why I deserve to meet my goals were so empowering. I feel completely different about my goals now, super clarified on my purpose and priorities. This video and channel is such a gem I will be reccomending it to anyone who could use it ❤️❤️

I never thought to do a plan for my weakest self and now it's not like, write 1 chapter per day but write 2 pages and 1 chapter per week if I can't do the page. Like way easier and I feel better about it than all my other failed schedules which felt a bit too much and overwhelming and really...cruel to myself. I loved this and I found out stuff about myself I didn't know so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I kept wanting to think about how to make a better plan rather than winging it which got me burnt out and then wasting time so I hope this will have me more consistent and less depressed. I didn't know what to start with and though I had a general idea, I realized that my priorities were wack. I was also honest about my capabilities for the first time ever haha, so...Thank you again.

"write down what you actually did in the first half of the year" - does "surviving" count?

Every video and self improvement article I read just makes me believe that I can NEVER ever improve. For the past decade my life's been totally aimless with no motivation to the point that I don't know how people even have the energy to do the little things. ANYWAYS great video I hope it helps some people!

Not sure when this channel pivoted from fucked up drawing of the Simpsons to insightful practical self-help but nice work 😎

I just did this exercise and was actually amazed by how many goals I actually did achieve in the last six months. It was a good chance to reflect and it has left me fired up to go at the second half of the year and see where it can take me :) Really though provoking questions I wouldn't usually ask myself about how my goals went/ why I am setting them. Thank you for this video I have found it very practical and useful.

Thank you. Strangely, after watching thousands of great videos on youtube. Yours is the first that helped me, ironically, STOP watching videos and get back to my life which makes yours the BEST VIDEO of all of them. Cheers. God Bless. & Godspeed, my friend.

Just found your channel. Already cried twice in 2 videos. I've finally at 36 been doing really well and “taking my life seriously" and I need things like this to keep that upward trend and your vids hit the spot. Thanks.

Watched this 2 years in the future lol. Trying my best to become better every day. I recently moved and the thought of calling this place home gives me real bad anxiety. I need to find my groove again... Thanks for the videos, you're always an inspiration 😊

Strong believers in journaling, especially for a targetted purpose! The last two days we've been figuring out what we want to do with our KZbin channel, because we really lost our way with it, and this is a great exercise that we're going to do to have our goals and disciplines written down. Thank you!

I was going to post about the whole 5-6 month thing. Saw that you'd already joked about it and other people joked about it, and you took it really well and rolled with it. I'm a wicked self-critical person, and seeing that in tangent with having watched a lot of your content spoke a lot to me. You seem like an awesome human. Keep doing your thing ma dude. Much love.

So technically it's mid-ish July right now, but better late than never! Honestly I'm left speechless... You've done an amazing job here! Straight to the point, no drama, no judgement, no unnecessary fuss. I've spent the night listening to your videos while working and I can say you've definitely enlightened and encouraged me!

One of the key things that I need to work hardest on, is to STOP sabotaging myself. I've found that I do this, albeit mostly subconsciously, far too much, and it always prevents me from achieving my goals. Sadly, this is especially true in my creative space. I'm definitely going to do this reset, and hold myself much more accountable across the board. It's time to clean shit up/out and reset myself! Thanks!

I watched this when you first released it a year ago, and I just rewatched it now because I do feel I have kinda failed in all goals this year so far which has affected my daily joy. Now I've redone the exercise, and taken my first step like you advise. Thank you as always for your wonderful videos. They are always great to learn from, and I love how your videos have become a big part of my achieving my ideal outcomes both in the past (when I rocked my goals of highest priority) and moments like now where I need a little bit of help resetting. Thanks for everything you do, and congrats on the baby :)

Watch the video it goes into a lot more detail 1. Empty your thoughts 2. Bring up your goals from the start of the year 3. Write down what you actually did in the 1st of the year, part of the goals or not 4. Assess why you hit some goals and not others 5. Write down ideal second half of the year and why you want it 6. Order the goals in terms of importance 7. Write down who you have to be to achieve the goals 8. Create a system where you can realistically achieve these goals: Make it for when you’re at your weakest then scale up from there 9. How will you stick to the plan when things get tough 10. Why do you deserve this improvement? 11. Take the first step right now
