While it jumps your subscriber count, it doesn't increase your audience, since those people have no interest in watching your videos, which the ratio between subscribers and view time will below, and your videos will not be suggested to a larger audience. All you need is to focus on improving your content and subscribers will naturally grow.

Sometimes we focus more on the professional side of things and forget that no one’s perfect and it’s ok to show people that side of us too. Great video. I definitely think people underestimate how personalised the recommended videos are, for specific viewers. If someone has just been bingeing on Pinterest or blogging related videos, that person would probably find your Pinterest or blogging related content on their homepage, even though You Tube is focused much more on promoting your You Tube videos, in general. Growth does lead to more growth, for sure. I'm glad your channel is growing so much now. I've been around for long enough to know it didn't really happen overnight. Once the growth does begin, it's exponential - true in so many areas, including here on You Tube. 🙌💝

Hi there! So it IS really important, even as a tiny tiny channel, to niche down. Mine was supposed to be an all around nerdy channel, and it was bombing, til I uploaded some cosplay stuff. Those videos started taking off. I've since deleted a lot of content preparing for a relaunch, but adapting to my viewers' watching habits made me choose a career path that I love!!! Now all I do is cosplay and prop making and it's so much fun!

I was wondering how come your video has more comments than the number of likes ... then I remembered that you yourself taught us to reply to every single comments before. Another thing is that watching the videos you made while you had less than 1k subs is what motivated me again to keep going on with my KZbin channel, hoping that the one I make now will be picked up by the algorithm in the future.
