fun fact: if you play on ps or xbox you can connect a second screen with a tablet and it so you can simultaneously play boss mode AND play as a plant or zombie it's actually real! did some testing and saved me the hassle of having to buy heal flowers after every ops match.

Boss Mode: That one thing that contributed to my chronic Zuper P A I N that one Gardens and Graveyards match.

Actually, you can use the revive to take an entire point in gardens and graveyards if someone dies in the point and some of the plants left the point, or are dead from their first attack. and In team vanquish it can revive teammates in battle which can help your team win a huge fight with very little casualties. Additionally the air strike is good to make campers move, or to scatter the other team away from each other, plus it can also be used to drop in a battle to either deal damage while the other team are attacking or being attacked if they don’t notice. or if they do notice it can help get them to scatter around and run to a less advantageous position. The heal station is best used in a crowded place away from the other team, or around a corner in a fight to help aid their health especially if your team is lacking their respective team healer. Is also good for helping a single member of the team take one or 2 people on. The satellite should be deployed on places were a fight is going or the location of enemies or small squads of campers in both modes. It can also help tell your team were the largest amount of their teammates is. Also good job on this video I enjoyed it 😊

Unpopular opinion: Boss mode COULD have been fun if only there was more interaction. The idea of playing as Crazy Dave or Zomboss, and being and essential piece of helpful teamwork sounds great on paper, but the sun/brain production is so low, the coldowns are long, are although boss mode has 2000hp, it feels more fragile than me trying to play Acorn. I think a good way to make it slightly more fun is to make it deploy some sort of camera that not only lets you view your surrongings once deployed, but also interact with the boss mode mechanics in it. Or maybe making boss mode have unique interaction depending on the map. I don't know man. I just feel that the idea of playing as the boss man sounds great. But boss mode pretty much describes Popcap in a Nutsell: Great concept, terrible execution.

Using things like Ps4's mobile second screen feature to play Boss Mode enables a kind of pseudo-split screen mode. Using this, a player(s) can do the job of two people on a single account. If both teams are full, a friend using this feature can actually tip the scales with it's support capabilities. Boss Mode may be boring, but it's a great way to play the game if you enjoy playing more for strategy than actual fighting.

You can affectively afk in this mode as long as you interact with it once in a while

I think Boss Mode has some potiential if you have more attack options, doesn't have a sun/brain cost, and the recharge are much more quick. To balance it out the defense side: they should also have a boss mode, but with a different type of gameplay.

Not many people know this anymore, but you can actually exploit the usage of boss mode to your heart's content if the enemy team is super aggressive about taking it down. If you exit boss mode before your health reaches zero from enemy fire,exit and go back in without having to wait for the cooldown time after death. I think it also resets the cooldown time for abilities used prior so i guess thats one way of not having to wait for the resurrection ability but this exploit makes you practically unkillable and a major waste of time to go after since you have 2k health per quick respawn. I've seen people spend entire matches in boss mode like this back then 🤷

The spotter is a game changer. Boss mode is like reverse leveling. The less you notice it. The more powerful it is

It wouldn’t be so bad if it was like the airplane for corns mission in gw2 where you can use a turret with a Birds Eye view of the match going on , instead of a poorly drawn map with a little screen that you squint so dam hard to see that your eyes might as well be closed trying to look at it. And still use the abilities given in boss mode and have the cool downs cut in half. I’m sure there are better ideas for boss mode & pop cap should let the fans make the game for them. Cuz whatever they did with boss mode is a waste of time & recourses

If you find boss mode boring then you find any slow paced tactic based gameplay for that matter. Also le epic pro advice: when youre about to die, just quit. The enemies wont get any cash reward and they basically wasted their time focusing you
