Ebay does not refund fees on partial refunds, so you will also want to deduct those fees from the amount you refund. For most categories that is currently (2021) 12.55%. Cheers!

Nobody refunds just because the shipping was cheaper than the charged to the buyer, it is part of the profit, which most of the time is marginal (some cents). I never got a partial refund for this reason, nor without asking for it.

Hey! If you're running an auction, I would just wait until the timer is up to see if anyone else bids. But for most items, I usually turn on the "Buy it now" setting, instead of an auction. Hopefully that helps!

Problem is, eBay does not automatically credit your fees for the partially refunded amount. In the past, I'd have to contact them. But ever since they switched me over to "managed payments" they've been pushing back and saying they don't offer credit for partial refunds so I'd have to push back harder. I suspect it's just a matter of time before this becomes official policy.

Another not good thing about this, is that you give the partial refund, but the buyer is able to continue claiming, bothering, menacing, returning for the very same item, while if you partial refund thru a claim, the buyer can not do anything else about that same item.

How come you can't do this on a mobile phone Ebay app? I just started selling and I don't have a pc and for some reason the seller hub or the drop down my Ebay account is not on the mobile app. I have used a friend's pc to check my listings print my labels and the whole format is completely different. There are so many different options for you to refund check your orders print labels on a pc that you can't do from a phone. I can't even issue a refund whatsoever there is no option to choose from on the mobile app the option is non existant. So I'm banging my head against the wall not knowing what to do because my access to a pc is very limited. This buyer begged me to take $25.00 off the price because that was all the money he had but he really wanted the item so being nice hoping I would at least get a good review which will help my store I did it for him. But I guess I was off on the weight of the package so the post office held his package. It was for $1.98 and for the simple mistake even though he said he had to go to the post office anyway and if he didn't he would have given me 1 star instead of 2 and he said I obviously have no idea what I'm doing and not to order from me. He didn't even contact me first. I have only made like 80 sales in a month with 100% positive feedback until now. Sorry for the rant but why are the options not available on the mobile app? This is going to be a problem if I can't issue a refund from the mobile app because I don't have the money for a computer I'm already struggling. I know that this is a old video but any information or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks
