How to give an effective and safe wrist block

Learning to give an effective wrist block will come in useful during many times in Surgery. It is easy, safe and allows even complicated procedures to be done comfortably for the patient.
This video deals with the the basics of the wrist block, surface markings of the nerves to marked, landmarks for making the injections, how much drug to be loaded, and the exact indications where the surgery would come in useful!

Haven't been able to use my dominant hand since I was fifteen. Saw Orthopedics on Friday and my surgeon is going to multiple things, including tendon transfer to be able to maintain hygiene and some use. Can't wait!!! They are going to do a regional block and general anasthesia. I thought I would be able to mildly sedated and have a wrist block, but will have a good nap instead. Lol!!

Amazing video! Im an anesthesiologist from Colombia... I would like to add something, I dont find the tourniquet as a contraindication, if you do the procedure under sedation ie remifentanil 0.15mcg/kg/min and midazolam 2mg iv unique dose, the tourniquet could be well tolerated.

Any surgery limited to fingers that can be done within 10-15 minutes, and for which we need to check the movements immediately after the surgery to evaluate the completion of the procedure
