Just an idea, but you should incorporate a GoPro camera attached to your helmet to show another perspective of what youre trying to demonstrate. Itd be nice to have another angle to cut to or maybe have a little picture-in-picture thing in the corner of the screen of the player POV of what youre doing.

Thanks Jeremy! Your videos are very helpful. I started to play hockey in the winter of 2014-15. Your advice is helping learn simple things I can do to improve my game. I've been just playing stick and puck in the park near my house in the Moscow region during the winter. I'm going to save up and by some gear this summer.

Jeremy, I wanna tell you that your videos are awesome. I feel like after watching your stickhandling and wrist shot videos, I've gotten sooo much better. Do you think you could put a video up on how to stop in roller hockey?

For people like myself living in the UK these videos are good. Obviously we've not much snow, the sport isn't very big and to we often have to play inline instead of ice hockey. Keep them up!

Great job on the videos, Jeremy! I started learning to play hockey in January this year so I can find an alternative to skateboarding during the winter, and lately I've been really trying to push my game so I can eventually get into some sort of minor league. The skating has come more naturally to me, but the hockey stuff has been more of a challenge. But, with some of the tips you've been giving in these videos, I've started to improve a lot faster. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate the videos. Thanks!

@HamsterCatLionn When it comes to skates, It's all about skill level. higher level skates will help, to some extent, if you've been playing/skating for a while, I would consider upgrading to something along the lines of the One80.

Thanks guys! Very helpfull lession as usual. I wanted to ask if you could create some kind of instruction that would tell how to analyse recent mistakes made when performing a snapshot? I mean I have a camera and tripod and I don't have anyone to watch me making a snapshot (I really suck in this, unfortunately). So anyone in a situation like mine could make a record of him or herself on a camera, photo-camera or even cellphone and with your help analyse his (or hers) mistakes. Thnx again.

Bauer Supreme One20s are what I would call average or entry level skates. Having said that, I'm a firm believer that your ability on the ice is about 90% skill and 10% gear. I use Bauer Supreme 1000s that are about 10-15 years old and work just fine.

@HamsterCatLionn There good skates but there not like top of the line. But there still very good skates. The best skates are usually up to 800 dollars or more. An example would be the total ones but youve got a good pair if youve just started skating or playing hockey

One thing my coach taught me is to NOT treat a receiving puck like an egg. Cause if your hands are soft and you cradle it back youre letting the puck play u instead of you playing the puck. He says "crack that egg" ... have your blade slightly supped forward but good hand positioning and strong hands when receiving a pass.

Daniel Smith Well you're never to old for starting playing hockey! You just need to practice a lot, you don't need to play in the NHL to have fun! ;) I've started last year by my local hockey club with 18, we are only one team with 25 guys. Buy Inline-Skates an go riding every day it will help you very much! Sry 4 my bad english, greetings from Germany! ;D

I am 18 and just picked it up. I play in a student league which really helps because almost have the team hasn't skates before and is just learning. So I would say that if you are committed you pick up skating in about a season (atleast the basics you won't be a pro) so just put in the effort and go for it.

How about sending and receiving passes when someone is directly behind/in front of you? Always kind of an awkward situation, and never knew if there was a correct way to do it.
