If you have taken vaccine 8 years ago, it will be considered as pre-exposure now. Now, you can take post-exposure vaccination if you suffer a rabid bite.

Sir i got a cat scratch a year ago and took 3 ID injection on 0,3,7 but due to unavailability of ID injection on 28 th day I took Abhayrab vaccine IM. 2 months ago i got a scratch without blood from stray dog hospital gave me ID injection on 0,3 is this satisfactory please reply.

@@user-fi4gf1qd2i 0, 3 and 07 days. Ka schedule hota he. Aur ye complete course he. Jis dog ne bite kia tha, agar wo ab tak zinda he to iska matlab usay rabies nahi tha. So, ap safe ho. No need for more doses. Ap ne immunoglobulin lagwaya hoga, na keh hemoglobin.

Doc kafi mehnga thy wo ingections per shot 20 kg k hisab sy lagy mujeh or 3 ingections around the wound lagy or aik enjectiom thai pr laga tha

@@user-fi4gf1qd2i Hanji, wo kafi mehnga hota he. Human rabies immunoglobulin or HRIG (Berirab-P) 300 iu ka aik injection taqreban 12000 PKR tak milta he aur 20 iu/kg k hisab se lagta he. Iske elawa, aik aur injection he equine rabies immunoglobulin or ERIG (Equirab) 1000 iu ka, wo taqreban 1700 PKR tak ka ata he aur wo hota bhi 1000 iu ka he, aur wo 40 iu/kg k hisab se lagta he. Dono ki efficacy same he. Lekin agar ap ye poochen k behter konsa hoga to behtar HRIG wala hi hota he.
