Im glad your SF Paramedic caught that. I was yelling at rhe screen Secure that packing gauze! Lol. Love the izzy for that. Make sure you airplane them out before wrapping that izzy, so when they fold their arms down prior to transport, it gets tighter.

looks good. few things i would like to add as a combat medic. you might not exactly see where the bleeding is from, so it's always better to take off the clothes first, even if it takes a few seconds. someone else can also check for other bleedings in the meantime. regarding the combat gauze. know that you can't insert it anywhere around the neck. you can mainly against the carotid artery stenosis because you need some force to counter the gauze. after you finish inserting it, let someone else hold it for 3 minutes (with all his power, without choking the patient of course) and then come back and wrap it with first care bandage.

Just a note. After tourniquet on leg, should have used Israeli bandage on leg wound to prevent infection from foreign bodies entering wound. Exposure of the body and additional wound search good. Medics have with them, Triage labels, in different colours and numbers, to prioritise wound care further up the line. Speed is essential in treatment, but perhaps a little less rag doll movement regarding the casualty would be beneficial. TLC done with less haste prevents further injury. Nice to see you placed stress on the person aiding his friend, with live firing. Not a bad start or demonstration, just a little more guidance and practice required. Nice job and thanks to your Israeli guest. Just to clarify, I was a civilian EMT and Military CMT, with experience in both Gulf Wars and Bosnia.

Lev, Shai and sir! Exceptional video, beautiful it was unedited with critical evaluation/feedback. 3 minutes of pressure in the sun, in full kit with and a lid on. Pouring sweat, often into eyes/eyewear as you're bent over running treatment with slicked up hands! For your possible consideration, if feasible to flip/pull your shades up and get "naked eye" on "re-inspection" of wounds on the 2nd pass through when leaks are arrested. Unbelievably well done video, using a IFAK MD2 deployment that is a Quantum Leap ahead! God Bless Agilite Dev Team! I want that kit on every belt in arm's reach.

Some tips I got from a combat vet in my unit. With chest seals use some duct tape to make a bigger pull tab. In a high stress situation, your motor skills aren’t as good. Staging tourniquets to be ready to use is also huge, not having to put the strap through the small hole can save a lot of time.

Not arm chair QB. Another thing you could do is put a knee in the groin to help control the bleed while getting the TQ on. If the patient is conscious and able to put pressure on the neck wound until you are able to pack the wound.

Thanks to Agilite and these guys for a good demonstration. I'm no pro but a little lifesaving knowledge is better than none, and there is almost no feeling on earth worse than being unprepared when you could have easily been prepared. I've felt that in a serious non life-threatening ambulatory situation and had to make do - not a mistake you want to repeat. The ending comments are 100% correct - getting out and doing drills in whatever capacity is useful, and also let's be honest, fun to do. Even running through basic stuff a few times and then doing refreshers WILL help when it counts. All in hopes that the knowledge doesn't have to be put to use.

I have a question. When I served I learned that you also take away the weapons from the casualty because that person could be confused or hallucinating because of the stress/shock/pain. It’s a safety measure because that person could be a danger to his/her team. Do you guys would also take the weapons away from that wounded person?

There is a reason why SMARCHE exist. After applying TQ you need to check other limbs for further massive hemorrhage and apply TQ or pack the wound. Next one is airways. Lack of oxygen will cause irreversible brain damage after 4 minutes, but patient with massive hemorrhage will lose consciousness after 30 seconds, and bleed out in less than a minute. Think about that. Priorities matter

A shield may be usefull in CQB (clearing houses and hallways), but it's practically useless in an open area where the danger comes from multiple sides. It's better to keep your rifle down range then walk around with a heavy shield all day.

What's your opinion on removing the helmet? In my unit it's mostly adviced not to do it because of the idea that the helmet could be holding the wounded's head together and preventing further impact and trauma during transport

Thanks for your time

Most don't have blood products and IV solution does not carry red blood cells and only thins out clotting process. Think watered down kool aid. Femur arterial blood lose you will bleed out and die in 2-3min. Great work re-evaluating pt
