@@anthrax4233 "MM was coming into the team and was a serious threat to him" - EXTREMELY doubtful. Casey was doing what marquez was doing a lot earlier, to a greater degree and on a lot less balanced bikes. Casey's retirement had nothing to do with MM, who wasn't remotely a known factor at that point in time. Casey was still setting incredible laptimes at the point of his retirement, which makes the whole angle of MM being a deterrant even more doubtful.

I've had the rear wheel slide on corner exit on wet asphalt once, scary stuff, managed to save it though. Seeing these guys do it regularly, and with ease too makes it look so easy

The reason the underperforming Honda is more or less keeping up with the Ducatis is because of him. Marc on the Ducati just keeps improving, putting put phenomenal races. In Australia, last Sunday, where he went from 13th to 1st.

He just took a lap's worth or rubber off the back tire to complete 2 turns, only to scrub the speed bc he tried to leave the corner faster than his bike can handle. Does he know that exceeding limits frequently costs time, rather than saves it. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Its crazy how these bikes have specialised tyres to maximise grip on a dry surface and can turn so hard that they touch the ground with their knees And i get worried when i take a turn thats slightly sharper than i expected on my 125cc

2nd skid, That happened to me when I was at my first track day with a coach right behind me. Finessed the save just like this too. Soo much fun. Coach signaled me off the track after that and we went into his trailer and he asked his wife to get us some cold bootlegs of water and he asked me, "how long have you been riding for". About 6 months sir. Felt good that I was recognized for being good at something😊.
