Yes and a small tip when you apply the glue and it wont cover properly add two drops of washing up liquid to the first two coats this will let it stick better some shoes have treatment on them and the glue separates and pools into blotches and wont spread properly

I think your workmanship is so outstanding, very meticulous and elegant. I thought the shoes were before you added the ribbon etc. The glitter was nice and even and color was great. Give the shoes your going to glitter a slight rub with fine sandpaper if they are shinny shoes. YES, Mod Podge will work well with this.

I love the shoes before and after the revamp. I wish I knew the name of the company that made these so I could find a few pairs in different sizes. I would love to do the glitter and also red bottoms if possible. My models I use for my artwork love these.

Did the glitter stay on? Usually when doing patent shoes you have to sand paper them first or any glue just peels off

Yes My sister used them and I asked for them back ha ha ha I have them displayed in my craftroom. They didn't flake or crack. But I did addd they are not for everyday use they wont last long if worn every day.

Its just a clear glue in the uk it used to be called uhu glue.

Yes but you wont be able to wash it. my sister Sandra applies this method to material all the time. but let it dry thoroughly between coats and i would advise you hang it up to dry between coats with a coat hanger to stop it sticking together as the glue will seep right through. Sandra does it to lengths of material then makes costumes

I made the stand from an old rotating Santa Clause decoration hahah yes that's what the stand is. I took the Santa off it was easy, I placed a glass plate on the top and hey presto I got 1 free electric rotating stand.

The glue is just everyday glue like uhu even pva glue will work. I made the turntable with the base of a revolving Santa. I took him off and just added a glass mirror plate. So much cheaper than a proper turntable as they are so very expensive for me. I got the Santa from a charity shop.

My sister wore them and they were fine but I agree that they are not for day to day use. Most people make them for a one off occasion like a wedding or a ball. It is a great way to recycle old shoes for a one off occasion.

I did a coat in the morning one around 5 pm then one around 10pm i have a warm cupboard where my hot water reserve tank is so i dry mine in there BUT after I put on the last coat of glue to seal it I leave it for a few days in the warm dry cupboard before i decorate it.
