Well it looks like you had a lot of fun. But IMO, you got one thing backwards. It's not the fact that they have a lot of product that made them go pro, it is the fact that they went pro that they have a lot of product. Now as for me, I am not into printing trinkets, just pretty much functional items or toys that do something like hand / string launched helicopters.

You may be on to something there. I think there's also something to be said for having something that people actually *want*. Something that didn't make the video was a booth where someone had gone all in on a project that to me seems pretty obviously a bad idea. But like many ideas, it's not obvious to the person having the idea. Now, personally I would have launched it in a smaller venue than this, but that's just me. Zero budget, less loss, that's what I say.

I understand that when you enjoy what you do it's not work, but are you not worried that by "going pro" and hustling - you'll no longer enjoy it? As a creative professional myself, I struggle with the idea of taking my 3D printing hobby from a way to "disconnect" from my everyday - and making it another job. It's the reason I stopped taking side contracts.

Yes. I do worry about that. But seeing so many people able to balance what they love with what they're doing, and loving every minute, I'm willing to take the risk.

@@3dpprofessor Excellent point. I've been reconsidering things since I posted my comment, although I'm still sitting on the fence, I'll continue to refine my ideas while I follow your journey. Who knows? I may take the plunge and see what happens.

Please stabilize you footage. I'm too nauseous to continue at 31 seconds in. KZbin can do it after the fact, you don't need any new hardware.

You are correct. I bought a gimbal because even when I tried to stabilize this footage it was still shaky. The next walking and talking video I do will be much better, I promise.
