Do you know if we are penalized for being too kind or too harsh? I tend to go with the rubric if it says "no mistake" and there are some (2 weeks in), I am finding it hard to give the 10/10 you are so generous with. I aspire to be as kind 🌼, At the moment I am one of the 5/10 graders you mentioned, though I did take your advice I always say why.

You do get a grade for how you assess. It is out of 10 points. I typically get a 9/10... it's not something you should fret about. As long as you give concrete feedback, I think you should be fine! How long have you been doing the program?

I pride myself on my grading. I typically get over 9. I have gotten some 10´s. To me, assessing is the most important aspect of teaching. Yes, you do get penalized if your grades do not line up. However, you do get peers that will grade harshly just because. I kindly take a deep breath. Afterward, I write to the professor and ask for a review.
