can you put a cushion wrap before the towel grip? will it have any complications?
@howeezyАй бұрын
of course you can, it will add thickness and perhaps make it softer but when you pull off the towel grip, it will rip the cushion wrap off
@pandesafeАй бұрын
@@howeezy thank you! I was wondering since most of the guides are only towel grips without any cushion wrap. I've been using the PU ones so I don't have an idea as to how thick it would be yet. Thanks again. Appreciate it

Hi,Howard,which yonex towel did you used..? AC 402 EX model is too thick for me..this look like a bit thinner than 402 EX
@howeezy10 ай бұрын
Hi! The yellow one in this video is the AC402EX model. However if you prefer the thinner one, you can go with the AC402DX. That one is a bit thinner. Hope that helps!

What is the brand of the towel grip that is white in color? I know you mentioned the yellow is AC402EX. Thanks!
@howeezy8 ай бұрын
So the AC402EX should come in many colors including white. There is also an AC402DX that has white but that is a Japanese thinner version towel grip

Thats ugly af. Why not just grip it anyway and not hold there
@howeezy Жыл бұрын
It creates a different balance and feeling on the racket when you grip it all the way up. Agree it doesn't look the best, but I rather have a feeling that I am comfortable with instead of it looking good. Just a personal preference

I use Yonex Towel Grip. AC402

Why do you grip 3/4 of the handle ?
@howeezy Жыл бұрын
Just a personal preference, I rarely hold up to the cap area since there is less fast drive exchanges like doubles. You will notice that this is how quite a lot of men's singles players actually grip their towel grips
@anshugamewala Жыл бұрын
I find not taking the grip to its full height highly irregular... In the middle of the game we continuously change grips so hand can inevitably go to the ungriped portion which is out of symmetry. I grip more towards the joint for smash defense and towards the end for smash. What is the advantage according to you of not fully gripping the handle??
@howeezy Жыл бұрын
Just a personal preference. In singles I would say there is less shifting on the height of the grip. Maybe more so in doubles. But if you pay close attention you will see many top singles players also don't fully grip to the top: Taufik, Lin Dan, etc.. It gives the racket a really good feeling!

@@howeezy ohh i didn't know that... thanks for the clarification... will definitely try this though i prefer PU replacement grips over towel ones
