awesome! I just randomly decided to replant one of my blueberry bushes into a large pot tonight because my neighbors cat poos and digs too many holes in my yard. This was helpful indeed!

Well thanks to you I now have one more job this spring. To plant blueberries! Lol Thanks for the info. Have a small yard so this is just the ticket. You even told me the variety to look for. I can't wait to start. Toronto Canada

For you in Canada these rabbiteye varieties in this video won’t be the best for your area. So for you look for northern highbush varieties 😁 I’m so glad to be a bad influence as far as getting people more plant projects 😂

I am going out this week to buy some blueberries plants. I'm here in Orlando where we have mild winters, a lot of rain, and plenty of sunshine. I went to visit my son in New York state this time last year and had fresh blueberries probably for the first time in my life. They were crisp and sweet and popped in my mouth. The only thing I ate up until then was store bought or frozen, which were mushy and way different than the fresh. This was a great video and one that hopefully inspires other people to grow some blueberries too. Hope you're having fun with those kids at school.

I have eight highbush blueberries that were growing just great, until the deer came along and ate the bushes right down to stubs, I am not sure if I can save them but maybe digging them back up and placing them in containers so I can completely control where they are and keep them away from the wild animals might just work ! Great idea! I must try that!

Good info!! It looked like you were potting the plant deep in the pot. I always thought the plant was to have its pot soil, level with the level of the soil in the new pot. Am I misunderstanding something? I have large pots so I may have to try blueberries I love them!

Oh no must have been a bad angle, but I also bring the soil level to the level of the plant soil level as well. I just stop a few inches from the full top of the pot to keep the water from running over

What's interesting is I have used espoma soil acidifier but hasn't really worked very well so far. My blueberries didn't fruit near as much this year it doesn't seem and I assume that's because of too high a ph. Surely it's not my city water solely doing this? Idk, I've put a ton of the acidifier even though other just sprinkle like a cup on top but still hasn't lowered the container ph. I'm in DFW so can't grow in ground.

Tldr; blueberries seem to be a very finicky plant to get productive. Easy to keep alive though.

How much of the dried lemon do you add to a gallon of water? I have well water here in the Texas Hill Country

It just depends on what your pH is. I have little test strips. You’d just add it in until it is around a 5 pH. If you want an easier product to use there is also water acidifier that you can get for fish aquarium that will need less to get the results you need

When acidifying water can I just mix soil acidifier to a jug of store bought spring water?Thank you for the info!

Just depends if you can dissolve it or not. Honestly one of the easiest ways other than the dry lemon juice is the aquarium pH down that you can add to water easily since it was designed for it and safe for plants. If you do use soil acidifyer see if you can find one to be water soluble and just add small amount and check the pH before adding more but should work find as well
