Both of you should do more research. This is a great foundation, but there is a whole lot more to it. Heat, humidity, and light. Get those three down and you'll be good. However some cacti seeds, in my experience, have germinated best with cold stratification. Freezing and thawing cycles. One thing I learned is the smaller the seeds, the more light they need to germinate. After doing a test, the small seeds, like coryphantha and giant saguaro, germinated by far the best when I simply sprinkled them on top of the soil without covering them.

Seedlings can handle a lot more water than adults. I water mine every two weeks. Not just a sprinkle, but soaked.

Nice video but it kinda lates the most vital info: when/how to water and fertilize. I’ve seen several ppl ask about this in the comments & u just tell them to water ‘as needed’. That may make sense to you & other experienced growers but to the rest of us that is a very vague description. I have lost 3 little cacti buds and I can’t tell if I over watered or under watered or if it was too cold for them:( I don’t want to lose more!
