yes they will root ..but thr success rate will be lesser ....as the stem which we get at the shop are not fresh .....just cut the top 3-4 inch off from the stem n plant the bottom stem in the same manner

Hi! Thank you for all your great videos. I really enjoy watching your work. I have a few chrysanthemum in my own garden, which are blooming beautifully at the moment. However, I am from Scandinavia, so most likely the flowers will die when winter comes. I am making a few cuttings from mine, so I can have more beautiful flowers next year. When do you recommend I do that cuttings and when should I plant them out? We normally have frost here from dec - march/april. Or is there a way to collect seeds from the flowers, so I can sow new in the spring?

U can plant cuttings now they normally take 8-12 days to root... Use A mix of perlite n compost or sand n compost... Good luck

Good evening. I followed your method right till transplanting the newly rooted saplings. I find now that in one or two of these the leaves are curling inwards and look as if they are dying. Make sure drainage holes are not blocked ..avoid overwatering n keep them in full sun ...you can take cuttings and plant them in Sandy soil mix to keep the variety going

yes mums cuttings can be planted 2 -2.5 months early from winter season ...in India winter season starts from October mid...so we plant the cuttings in july end and august month ...in 25-30 days they take roots and then we transfer them into individual pots to grow....after 15 days from planting in the pots we pinch them to make them bushier ....they grow till December(sept mid to dec)...finally in December buds start to develop ...you can also pinch some buds to make the size of other buds more bigger..:)
