Sir, i got a fig plant about 2 weeks ago. Potted as per instruction in a well drained soil in a big one pot. Now I'm noticing the leaves are having brown spots and slightly curling. The only reason i can think is insufficient direct sunlight bcoz of winter the direct sunlight in the balcony is limited to 3 hrs only but I'm certain this increses to double in summer. Please guide how to protect the plant for the next 3-4 weeks after which the temp and sunlight will get sufficient

It happens with plants that produce male flowers only. Such flowers remain unable to pollinate and therefore drops immature. Spray pgp and seaweed during growing period of fruits and see whether that works. If not, you should change the plants with another good variety.
