Those figs look delicious. Have never eaten a fresh fig. How long does it take for the cuttings to root on average and what is a safe way to check for roots without disturbing them? Thanks.

Depends on the temp but a few weeks or more. The way I start checking is to just give them a little tug and feel if they feel rooted in or not

I wish I knew EXACTLY what fruit trees to grow in Sherman. I have several but none make fruit and they are old enough.

There should be plenty. It may have to do with your site conditions (soil, sunlight, etc)

Look up your planting zone and also if the plants you are now growing are self pollinating or require another cultivar to fruit well.

Is it consider failed if one or some of the cuttings got fungus or rotted out? Is there any way to save it if it developed fungus?

You could try to save them with fungicides.
