Very informative and got some lessons to be learned from her experience in growing avocado. Regarding the altitude for growing avocados, as far as I know Hass is guatemalan type of avocado that need cool climate to grow that's why in tropical countries it needs higher altitude in this case above 1,500 meter above sea level. Some of avocados can grow in hot climate and mostly are west indian type. Therefore in Kenya Hass need higher altitude meanwhile in Spain it can be grown in lower altitude.

Am currently taking MSc Agricultural Extension Education and yes as the agriculture people information taught may not align especially on the spacing that's where tacit knowledge from experience comes in. Your level of attentiveness and subsequent/flow of questions shows you were listening to the answers given, you do not just blurt out pre-written questions and let your mind wonder off but rather you took us the subscibers right under that tree and we were listen and asking through you. To the farmer, thank you for the passion shown and not gate keeping information. Institutions in kenya remain exploitative, small scale tea/coffee farmers still get paid less than 100 shillings per kg, decades after being the country's main export products.
@RascalEd-hw6yw8 ай бұрын
The value lies in the finished product unfortunately. As long as farmers keep selling raw products they will be exploited to the end which is quite unfortunate and unfair. However some few farmers get upto $20 per kg for finished coffee
