It isn't funny to want to get out a little bit and enjoy ourselves even it's for a short time. Some of the simplest things that make us happy, so you are right Nanny, we do have to get out. I'm so happy just to go on a short shopping trip with my daughter. I love her company and we laugh all the time! You look adorable today Nanny. Please don't over tire yourself. Know your limits. Hi Nanny, your stripe blouse and hat, are very beautiful. Of course, anything you wear is gorgeous. We beat you this morning pulling weeds and moving rocks around our home, before it gets to 105. Then putting down mulch,because I have fallen so many times in those rocks. We just finished our Japanese garden, with a dry creek. But like you and Moosie, at our age we have to pace ourselves. My daughter wanted an herb garden so I bought her a starter kit and she did so well and she used them in her creations for dinner oh so good and she was 14 then and still growing them as long we keep them up our 13 dogs won't eat them.love those pots our dollar tree doesn't have them. I bought a set (3) of those stackable planters 2 years ago. It was a fun & pretty feature in my yard. However by 2nd year they didn't hold up well. So be prepared to replace them after about 2-3 years. Thankfully they are cheap, so you can! The heat has been awful, but just remember to plan short, early outings to conserve your energy & stay healthy. Love & hugs from West Texas--

So glad you got home before you got too hot!!! Getting too hot absolutely slips up on you and it is not a good feeling at all especially when you are not at home and out shopping alone. I try to do any required errands before 10 o’clock in the morning. I don’t do much if any shopping in stores anymore because it is so easy to just order online. I do curbside pick up for 99% of our groceries and I schedule the pickups before 10 o’clock. The humidity in the south is always so horrible and this year it has been almost unbearable!!! I know Moosie and you will be relieved and glad when his dental work is behind you!!! Prayers for both of you and for your family too!!! 💝💝💝🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

At 77 it's put a stop to my gardening for a while but it lifted my spirits watching your joy in finding those stacking planters and filling with herbs. Iam like you i have to get out a couple times a week. I also bought 3 of those planters. I thouht they would work good for my strawberry plants. It been so hot here the last couple of weeks that I get outside by 6:30am. Weibe way up at the north end of the state and it has been between 110 and 115 every day. We broke a record the other day st 115. I am ready for fall. Look forward to seeing you when you put up a video, it like a visit with a good friend.

Hi in the UK it is still cool ,but when it’s hot I put a bottle of water in the freezer and take it out with my normal water ,the frozen one defrosts slowely so you always have cold water in the car ,love to Moosie ,I had a tooth out recently and it takes a few days toget over ❤

Love your pigtails today Nanny! Someone reminded me that I used to wear pigtails when I was a kid and teenager. I had forgotten. Not sure if I can still "rock" them now, but you certainly can. Adorable. Love the cool planters you found. Very nice for herbs. Beautiful succulents also. I was thinking that I have used lemon thyme on baked chicken before, and seemed good to me. Also could add to a homemade vinaigrette, or a salad. Jalapeno poppers for breakfast! Sounds like a good treat. Why not? I heard someone say they had shrimp and grits for breakfast the other day.
