This was definitely impressive video production work that you filmed it over 9 months and edited it all together into an 8 minute video for our convenience. I know that takes a lot of time and focus, all to give out free information. Thanks so much! Also it is super cute how happy you were picking your garlic. I would be too. Congrats! :-)

Thanks for the great video. I grew garlic from store bought. Also I grew garlic from the bottom tips, 1/4 inch, use the tops in food. I planted the garlic tips in spring with bottom tips of onions, which I think helps them to grow, in a planter inside the house. I'm in a southern zone.

quick question: I love eating garlic greens, cutting the greens from time to time does it affect the growth of the garlic? Thanks

It will undoubtedly hurt the growth, but who cares? Plant a few extra just for the greens, perhaps as companions to plants with bug issues (e.g. earwigs eating my motherfuckin' basil).

I've grown my first garden this year, and although I've been able to harvest some to eat out the garden, most of my crops didn't grow right. I'm thinking most of it was soil quality because where I live the soil is very clay rich or either sand. I've been looking into organic mulches, and fertilizers from nearby farmers to start aging for my garden but I believe I'm looking at another 2 years of planting before my garden really starts looking good and tasting better. I've never been able to eat much tomato or corn, but I've ate a cob out the garden fresh because how sweet it was. My cherry tomatoes were super sweet and fat for the type which was great, but my large tomatoes were no good. Peanuts will take a few more months, but potatoes are soon. I've also got jalapeños and have harvested probably 25 good sized peppers off of 5 plants. As I learn more it will improve, but my garden is hand dug, without a garden tiller. Only a shovel and pickaxe to make my garden beds until I can afford a tiller
