I bought some Marigolds from Home Depot yesterday and I picked the one that looked like it needed help the most. I mean there were ones that look more beautiful, taller, and fully bloomed but I know what they do to plants if they don't sell. They turn them into mulch.

The best method in planting Marigolds is to: prepare the garden bed with good compost, exceptional drainage, and most of all (direct sow) seeds on to soil and cover lightly. This video is the epitome of all Marigold growing, especially for growing each plant individual to direct place into specific gardening areas. Impressive production!!!

I love marigold, they're really easy to grow. Just plop them in dirt, cover them lightly, and water once everyday. :)

Great vid. Last year (2021) all but a few of my French Marigolds failed to germinate. So I sowed some more but as a backup, planted Calendula straight into the garden. The Calendula were fantastic! Grew well and helped to fill the garden's gaps.

Hi! Love your videos I think I've watched all of them in just a week 😅 it would be awesome if you did a video on what veggies and flowers to plant next to each other ( in the same container or separate?) like a good order to plant them in, which ones grow well together and help each other and so on 😁 would be super helpful!
@jason83603 жыл бұрын
I love your attention to detail. I also like your marigolds very much. I have been planting them around my tomatoes for a few seasons now. This year I started from seed in small greenhouse. They germinate fine and grew very fast and green. But they are over 1 foot tall and still no flowers. Have I missed something? Maybe you have suggestions. Thanks for your advice . I'm in Southern 🇺🇸

Grow marigolds for the bees.🐝 They really love them. Almost every year we get volunteer marigolds.They readily self seed. One of the most enjoyable things I ever did was collect lots and lots of marigolds petals and make a light yellow dye to dip a skein of wool into. Fun!

Less than 1/2 germinating is exactly why someone wants to put 2-3 seeds or more in each cell. Seeds from a packet may be a small amount but if you're planting from your own seeds that you collected, you can get an idea of how many seeds you can collect easily from last year.

I like marigolds, I've got a few of them in a large pot in my container arrangement. Their vibrant colors, heat and even some drought tolerance makes them easy to grow and to look at. My variety of marigolds doesn't "stink", and quite the opposite smells kinda good, the only problem is that they have a short lifespan. Hopefully I'll collect some seeds and follow you guide to grow a couple of them to ensure I'll have more marigolds for the end of the summer. (I live in the southern hemisphere)

Then in the fall I picked the dried flowers and planted the seeds from my last years flowers and again had lots of marigolds. I' m hoping I have good luck this spring may have planted them to soon. My mom has a very different way of planting marigolds and getting them to germinate she spread the seeds out on an inch or two of soil in containers that are about 4 inches deep then water them then she puts an old newspaper on top that she waters it smells a bit but the paper acts like the earth you covered the seeds with when the seedlings grown so much they touch the paper she removed it and put foodplastic wrapping losely over them she pokes holes in the plastic too its mot air tight. When the plants are big enough she seperates them
