Make sure the data saver option isn't on in your settings. Also, uploading when using wifi instead of data can help. If you're on Android, the quality is going to be decreased no matter what when you upload to TikTok unfortunately.

I'm not sure if there's a quality difference when uploading from your laptop but I know it lacks a lot of editing features like text and effects and it's also missing music/sounds.

I have a couple theories. One, I don't plug my KZbin a lot on TikTok. I also think only a small percentage of people will actually go out of there way to sub and or even check out a channel when they're on TikTok. But I did only have 12 subs before TikTok so it does help a little bit.
