I'm a mod of a variety streamer and he tries to do everything by himself. Now I'm sitting here, watching those vids so I can give support. I want that my streamer doesn't go through this alone. I want to see the community grow because that's one of the most beautiful things ever, to see a community grow in front of your eyes and to chat with them and to take care of them. Thanks for that video

I really appreciate this video, I'm going to go for a radio show vibe on my channel and this is a big boost to my confidence in the idea.

I needed this video so much. I've been trapped in a box. I'm what I would call a dark souls expert. And I kinda grew my entire channel on helping other streamers destroy the game (by coaching not summoning me in) and i wanted to move into variety. I was so excited. I was averaging more viewers than ever before. So I thought my viewers would have enjoyed a change of pace. Rather, my numbers virtually disappeared and I actually had 3 people come in and say "wrong game" or something similar and then just leave. So I just bit the bullet and moved back into the dark souls space. But after thousands of hours in soulsborne games I really just want to play other things to. It's going to be DIFFICULT to not care about a dip in my numbers. But ultimately I think I need to do what I'm going to enjoy. And of course I'll still play dark souls. But I need something to change the pace. Great video. Thanks Wombat

I am so happy this video could help you out! The rollercoaster of streaming is a tough one. What keeps me coming back is my excitement and passion to create. We may not keep every person who was watching when we switch between things but it is imperative to keep creating in fresh and big ways. All we can worry about is the people who are there and giving them the most kick ass show we can. ❤️

3:10 relatively new to streaming, and I've gained a tiny bit of traction by streaming Minecraft during hours most people aren't. I've adapted as my viewers enjoy me reacting to memes, but I enjoy doing other stuff on-stream like reading news articles, so I've decided to switch back and forth between doing things my chat and viewers will enjoy, and doing things I enjoy I also realized that there's a game I love playing but stopped playing because nobody watches me when I play it live, BUT nobody streams it nowadays even though it has a fanbase and I noticed that the VODs get a spike in viewership later on so I plan on going back to playing it

Im a variety streamer and I really enjoyed this video and found this advice helpful. My main focus for variety streaming is to try to take people on a journey through all my favourite games from retro classics to xbox360 to next gen and when you look at the games from the 80s till now the library is huge. I am hoping that by streaming all my favourite games that I can draw in people like myself who grew up playing nintendo super nes and other platforms and hopefully develop some friends and regulars who enjoy my streams and because I am just starting out on social media and twitch as a vareity streamer it will take time to grow my stream but i am confident that over time I will start to get followers and viewers and form a great gaming community that likes to be a part of twitch and youtube channel.

Very helpful! For PS players, PS Plus? I'm a variety streamer myself although I try to stick to one game until it's complete. I usually play what I enjoy.

How much variety is too much? Should I play a game for a week then swap? Is it too much to play a different game every stream, but pick from a small pool of games?
