Hello Evelyn i have a Dendrobium Thongchai Gold potted in coconut fiber which bloomed for me i noticed about a month ago that it is not doing well, with lots of courage i decided to let it be bare root thank to your video and now i have 1 monster keiki and 2 spikes on different canes since. I want to precise that all the roots in the media was rotten but it had lots of monster air roots which encourage me leaving it bareroots. Am so glad i did it he is a happy now.

I think they grow best when their roots have some support and are not disturbed all the time by removing from their display containers and then soaking them in water. Mine are in bark medium and are doing well here in our French climate ( indoors) . I have just repotted them in new bark medium with a mixture of sphagnum moss. 😀

Hello friend 👋 I live in Germany. I did that methods before and all my orchids was dying the next week, the leaves turn to yellow, and roots become weak. I've keep on buying new orchids from the store and still same problems. It was so frustrating and sad. Since then, i try all other methods no success. Then, I do this methods, they are now still alive.., now i dont need to buy from time to time new orchids.. You make the orchids dry! You should use a coconut dry shell to make the orchids moist. And water it everyday with rice water and you will be amazed with the results. It will bloom more flowers and very healthy

Hi. I'm curious what to do with a orchid that is dehydrated and little roots. I'm trying to save her. Right now I have her in an orchid pot with little leca and in a glass jar. I have her with complete air flow not even touching the leca. And suggestions. I did take her out of bark because I got gnats twice. Help please. She is the one in my photo. Thank you.
