As far as the "sales" comment made to you, I appreciate the products you offer and explain. Some people tend to forget that not all of us sit at a computer or stare at a screen all day so you informing the public, especially the new gardeners, is a service that is necessary. If you have a new product, I learn about it from your videos because I admit I do not get on the internet 16 hours a day. Just know that the vast majority appreciate all that Hoss Tools does. Most truly are grateful for the information and that is why we tune in. This show helped me decide on which potato to order from you guys this year so I am glad you showcased that in the video. The old goat is in the bowl behind Greg. Great show as always. Thank you for your hard work. To the grumpsters....Bless your little heart.

I think it’s a great idea to have Mama Hoss’s Grandmother on the show. There is no education like we can obtain from our elders. My Parents used to tell me about things they did to save and skimp during the Great Depression. We could all learn a lot from this generation. The generation that saved this nation. Please have her on the show! We can weed through any craziness! Stay warm.

Just keep doin what you're doin! This is your livelihood. Both the business aspect and the best dad gum garden show on the internet. I don't see any other company out there doing what yall do. You invite us into your lives and share your passion, experience, and expertise. Why wouldn't you promote your products with the amount of people you reach. Now, if you talk 80% sales and 20% gardening I might speak to that. Anyway, that's my 4 cents. Again, keep it up love y'all!

Another tip with folks that has a back that likes to hurt from binding over to plant potatoes. Go to Lowe’s and get you a grip and grab it’s the best picker upper you find . The way I do it I take my bucket with my cut taters and pick up what I can hold and then take the grabber with my other hand and grab it eyes up and set it in the hole . Then cover . So easy and your back will thank you

I just got another order from y'all. I was so excited I took a picture when I was still in my car at the post office. I sent it to my family that I grow with. Lol Y'all sell the type of corn and tomatoes my father in law grew, so my hubby likes to grow because his dad did. I may have threw a few more seeds on the order I wanted, too 😂 I'm particular about salesy-ness. I think y'all are very easy to listen to. I think since the videos are under your business name, I'd kinda expect even more. Anyway, I know you have to do what the people want so you can get the information to them about how to grow food. I actually had a lady at the post office that asked me if sweet potato grew above or below the ground. I said they grow like regular potatoes but with long vines. She said sooo.... above ground on vines? We live rural now. Like a 2A school with only one campus for all grades. No stop lights... People need to know how their food is grown at least. I wish everyone would pick just one thing and plant one thing to understand a little of what farmers do.

We say 12.7 degrees here in McDonough, GA (zone 8A). Still have 2 nights in the teens at the first of the week and it warms back up. We harvested everything except the onions as they are nowhere ready. Next few days will show what damage was done, or not. Well the Ole Goat is thinking he might still be on vacation. Leaning back in a container behind Greg on the bottom shelf like he's in a hot tub. Guess he's waiting on someone to fill the container with warm water and hand him a fruity drink with an umbrella. We have a few varieties of potatoes I saved from last season that will be planted this year (Yukon Gold, Red Norland, Charlotte, and fingerling). I'm also adding Rose Gold to my varieties for this year, as I've never tried them before and see good reports on this one. Yukon Gold is a favorite for us also! As to planting them, in our area (zone 8A) we often have a few days in the first 10 to 15 days of February where the temps dip into the teens again. So I usually plant ours the latter part of February (but keep the weather forecast in mind and adapt as needed). The other weather concern is a big rain spell which might cause them to rot before they get going. Oh, My!!!! Now Greg, you have to be very careful when you talk about "Chit" and "Chitting". I was laughing so hard at that part of the video!!! I also don't put our potatoes on drip irrigation. If we don't get rain and I think the soil is drying out, I just hit them with the hose and hand water. Everything else is on drip on a timer and gets fertigated via the drip - Potatoes are manually fertilized also. I did try the grocery store potato one time (nice big baking potato). I made sure to wash it well in case there was any growth inhibitor sprayed on it. It grew, but the potatoes were all very small (but a lot of them). I think that is due to our weather and that variety being better suited for another region of the country. I just buy seed potatoes.
