Currently I am reading minervini books and I saw your video. Vcp is one of the strongest characteristics when a stock is in accumulation in stage 2, Usually i tend to enter in a position in low cheat, bcz it provides a better RISK TO REWARD. Your position seizing videos are great, and I use ur ideas of position sizing along with these patterns with flat base. These works well in a market when wind is in our favour.

🙏Thanks for the video, I am confused and unable to connect the dots. Please guide: 1) There was a breakout on Wednesday in Nifty, has this led to change in your stance to go for new stocks ? Because you mentioned in previous video to not enter in such times "just ride the old winners and cut down losers" and 2) In both Axis and Indus examples the Flag formation also includes breaking of previous pivots on the down side, well should we avoid Pivots as the said stock or Nifty is above 50 SMA?

Hi Akash 1) All new buys will see retracement. There is no change on this. 2) How do you know if Axis and Indus I dont hold already ? And I am just looking to add. 3) You should use these patterns to add to your winners. 4) On open channel I give lot of hints. But some specifics I dont disclose as it can influence others in buying or selling. 5) Last part of ques is something you need to research. As I said in the video, I dont give answers to everything. I want the effort first on your end. Hope this helps.

Let me please reframe it: If nifty is strong and broader markets are in momentum or a sector is charting upwards : but our stock from that sector is not showing strength and experiencing few Pivot retracement than should we wait for 50 DMA/SMA to break before cutting the positions?

Thanks for your valuable teachings and time. I have completely read this book. I just use his VCP concept on all-time high stocks, which I filter from Nifty 500 only, and I get many stock out of which I again filter them based on some fundamentals data. I just want to ask whether Nifty 500 stocks are enough, and shall I focus on only All Time High stocks or do I need to keep an eye on midcap/small cap stocks as well and stocks that are not at their high levels or trading 30/40% below their high values ? I am having my positions (from april) currently on AUTO, Metal and It, I've exited banks two weeks ago. How I filter from 30-50 vcp stocks is by sister stocks, sectors and the timeframe which I am going to hold, but there is also some intiuition/experience based on my previous practise of reading charts and it's tough to explain. Thanx a lot mentor... Plz guide me on position sizing. I take 1% risk on each trade. SL varies on chart ranging between 10-20%. This way qty gets very small and no. of stocks keep rising in portfolio. I have not been able to understand how to add slowly to the winning trade. I was going through my trades in last 3-4 years. My stock selection is decent and I cut losses as per the plan. But somehow, I am not going anywhere due to two reasons. 1- my list of stocks, I am confused how to select stocks. Which stocks to choose- large, mid or small cap. How to narrow down my list 2. Wide stops and no consistency in trading one set up. I am sorry ,I always wanted to make you proud someday by my performance after learning so much from you, but I am still nowhere near that.

One doubt: I'm in the market since June 2020 but I found that most of my losses have occurred when I took the trade on 15 min timeframe due to false breakouts and breakdowns. I'm very much comfortable with 1hr timeframe and I just love it. How many years it took for you to become comfortable with the 5 min and 15min timeframe? My anxiety remains in control if I trade on 1 hr timeframe and I'm not able to judge the moves properly on 15mins TF.

@Raunak thank you for these videos. Cutting the noise and clutter out and teaching to focus on the basics. Yours is perhaps the only channel which focuses on time tested principle referring and quoting books by the greats in this field. Without your channel which I stumbled upon a year back I wouldn’t have learnt about existence of these literature, how to use them and their relevance today. Inspired by these videos I am presently reading up these and trying apply them in my trades. It’s slow process as you have mentioned many a time but it’s giving me confidence as I move ahead. I have two queries after watching this video : what’s the length of period should one should open up the charts to observe the said patterns- 6 months/1 year or more on a daily frame/weekly timeframe. And how does one manage to scan though 500 nifty stocks daily weekly to check for these patterns. Or is it by experience to short some stocks (say blue chip ones) and keep watching them as patterns keep repeating over time

Thanks so much 1) I would suggest daily time frame first. Then check its validity on hourly if you want. 2) Regarding so many stocks, I go through the list manually. It takes about 30 min to do so and is an excellent way to measure overall strength in the market.
