I am sharing my hair journey for those of you who are starting to grow your hair seriously and those of you who are seeing my videos for the first time and think she always had thick long hair. The answer is absolutely NOT. My hair was thin and short for years. I couldn't style it and the styles couldn't come out right. I learnt on the job.And I believe you can learn your hair make it do what you want too. Now I have to say am always learning about my hair. That's the reason I share with you through my videos. I hope you feel inspired with this video or at least motivated😍

I know!! Right! Sometime when we look back, we get back on track. There is too much noise out of the internet sometimes we get caught in these fantasies so I am reminding myself as I share with you all in this video. We are always real on this platform 😍

Did you change your diet at all? My hair looks like when it wasn’t in the best shape but I’m learning how important our nutrition is
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower5 ай бұрын
Girlll… I am not sure I would call this a diet but yeah I started eating a lot of protein. Eating foods that contain iron, zinc, vitamin D, E and etc. I started after I gave birth though so it’s just been a couple of months but before then. I eat everything and I wasn’t mindful of the food I was consuming as much as I do now. Now how that contributes to my hair growth, I am not certain but science says we are what we eat so it could be helping😊

Ppl be sleeping on grease. Before I never used grease and my hair was ok but then I started to use grease & my hair transformed. Then I ran out & my hair went blah, added back grease again & then wow. Grease is it. Don't mind the naysayers

Hi, would you consider raw Shea Butter as heavy as grease?
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower3 ай бұрын
No! I think they are both heavy but I think grease is a better sealant
@jk908429 күн бұрын
I only use grease when I braid with fake hair but I have to layer it with shea butter, because only using grease dries out my hair. And I combine various greases with oils for the scalp.

Your hair looks amazing! This is the most information video I have ever seen! What time line is this from the time you started using grease to now?
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower5 ай бұрын
I started using grease after 3years of being natural so around 2019-2020 around that time and so from 2020- until now basically I use grease on my hair and sometimes on my scalp too.

Y’all she is not lying I have High Porosity hair so it gets dry even if I moisturize it and my ends where dry and breaking off. I started using the Camille Rose The Gro Grease and 😊I love it sometimes I use an oil but for the most part I use the grease. I love it, my hair has thicken and it stays moisturizers even till wash day. It also has given my hair a nice shine to. ❤

I've watched your channel and noticed your hair thickening before my very eyes 🙏🏿 Before you started intentionally caring for your hair, did you ever have a lot of strands/High density? Like when you were younger was your hair more full then it broke off or something? Either way I am happy and encouraged by your channel. Thank you ❤
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower5 ай бұрын
I love to hear this so much. I am giving you a huge hug😍. You are truly the best for staying here. As for the question, no when I started I didn’t see nothing like high density. I mean my hair was thin so I had few strands of hair girl 😭. When I was young my hair was tough to deal with by my mother. I only remember it being painful to comb. When I had my hair relaxed in my teenage years, my hair was still very thin. That’s actually one of the many reasons I became natural. Thin hair with thin strands, it’s kind of hard to style and I am a big hair afro girl. I want hair thick and long too so that’s pretty much it.

Thank you. I'll give it a try and will let you know of the result. How often should I do the tea wrinses?
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower5 ай бұрын
Great! You use the tea rinses everytime you wash your hair so depending on how often you wash your hair once a week or whatever. You can also apply it and leave it on everyday if you like. That works too!

Thank you do much for an inspirinb video. I will definitely try hair grease. My hair is thin. How long did it take you to get to where you are today?❤

Keep a consistent routine using grease and a lot of scalp massaging. You should see a difference in months. My hair is 7 years old now so quiet awhile now and I have had sets back with my hair especially after giving birth to my baby(lost a lot of hair) alooot!!

Jambo sister just saw your video on using vaseline and water just now, then this one do you still use the vaseline on your hair
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower4 ай бұрын
Absolutely yes! Vaseline and grease are pretty much the same for me so I alternate with both though you will see me with more blue magic grease in most of my videos because I use Vaseline more on body 😂lol but the answer is yes
@lifeiseverything94 ай бұрын
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower I just decided to mix the blue magic grease and organic vaseline petroleum jelly that I ordered online, my hair is very soft and it's just a few days of using it thanks 😊

How long did this journey take you from when you discovered grease was the game changer?

I think after three years of being natural if I remember correctly. I probably first started with Vaseline actually before I bought blue magic grease. But I was after a long time of not knowing about it for sure

@BarbaraBirungiSunflower4 ай бұрын
It depends dear. So for thickness , as long as you are consistent. You can achieve it within a year or 6months. As for my entire hair length, I have had setbacks which is normal. My hair now is 7years old since being natural.

Lovely What can I do to reduce shedding more hair
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower5 ай бұрын
Well one, you can use tea rinses. So black tea, herbal tea, green tea etc.. I have a video on my black tea rinse you can check out. Shedding is normal but when it becomes excessive then you can try these rinses but other than that shedding is not alarming at all. What’s not okay is breakage.
