I love everything about Gardening! I especially love seed saving! I've got tons of new flower varieties that are producing lots of new seeds for me right now. I've already started collecting a few. Not quite ready on most. It's very tedious work, but I really like it. I really enjoyed seeing your seed starting methods as well as listening to all of the beautiful birds singing while you planted. Thank you for all you do. Peace.

It'll be great seeing your huge variety seedlings take off👏 I like using coco peat atop seedling mix in my trays. No greenhouse here so I've covered with glad wrap to prevent seeds drying out🙏

Great timing, I was planning to sow vegetable seeds this 1st weekend in August. South of Sydney, so not as warm as you, I am using a heat mat (for 2nd year)Fingers crossed

What do you think of Erica vale seeds I have only come across them recently and they are a Queensland company, at the moment I store my seeds in baggies all pumpkin packets in one bag etc. the alphabetically in plastic bins veggies in one flowers in another and herbs in the smallest one. I am in the hills of Victoria and it has been freezing here this year so no seed starting as yet. I agree seed collecting could be a hobby on its own. Love capsicum but so far only two fruits in three years of growing not impressive.I will keep trying, but may need to try the overwinter plant method,I am in Queensland this mont so nothing will get started till I get home anyway ,but it is still too cold there. Will be interested to see how your seeds go.

What if you were to put the seeds on normal potting mix and only sift to cover the seeds, or use the seed raising mix on top? Would that work or would the seed roots still struggle?

Yes ! I’ve done this in the past and it worked well

I’m having a bit of trouble with sound again is it an issue with me or your microphone 🤔
@selenastable4 ай бұрын
It may be because I’m outside- I have a microphone but for some reason it isn’t always clear when I’m outside in the breeze…. Hopefully I can work out a way to improve it soon…thanks for your patience.
